Wind Blown Plains

The Wind Blown Plains are a large expanse of plains in the northwestern section of Wolsten. It is cut in half by the wall of Quinctius into northern and southern portions. The southern portion is controlled by Redwater and has been turned into mostly farmland with a few scattered mines in the hills surrounding the areas. The northern half isn't truly controlled by anyone. There are a few tribes of Those of Gaulren that have setup on the plains, but those often get destroyed by legions. There is also a small fortified port owned by the Coalition of Hadasht on the very northwestern portion of the plains. This has changed hands several times and has not been contested by The Republic in the last five years since its capture.
The Wind Blown plains are called as such for their susceptibility to tornadoes, but is excellent farmland. The Republic extensively farms the southern portion of the plains and Those of Gaulren will occasionally manage to build a farm, but that gets destroyed rather quickly so the northern portion is relatively untouched as the Republic bans colonists from travelling north of the wall.

Geography

The plains are fairly flat, not nearly as flat as the Guira plains as they are dotted by hills that sometimes have veins of ore beneath. The plains are fertile and are known for growing wheat, beans, and corn. The plains are vast and farms dot the entirety of it leading to a very dispersed population in the area.
