The Justicar's Bastion
The Justicar's Bastion is the largest and most grand of the Justicar's Blades centers of power. The top of the fortress stands an imposing statue of a servant of Justicar ready to serve by killing a gatekeeper. The fortress is gilded in a golden coat over white stone. The fortress stands tall at the end of the Tarnished Mountains protecting the road from Redwater to the Province of Solden. It is the home to three Blade orders as well as act as a place for members of other orders to rest during their travel.
Purpose / Function
The Justicar's Bastion is a large source of influence for the Justicar's Blades in the western portion of the Republic. It houses three of the largest orders; Ordo Belua, Ordo Scutum, and Ordo Sacrorum, as well as is where Praeceptors base themselves out of when they go to work outside of the Arbiterium. It also houses legionnaires on occasion when they are being moved to and from the home provinces. The fortress also acts as a massive temple of worship to the Justicar and as a center for commands to be delivered to the orders stationed in the area.
The Justicar's Bastion served as an important defensive location against Those of Gaulren before the Wall of Quinctius was constructed and has since turned into a focal point for Blade activities. Most initiates spend their time here as they are an easy way to find out about tasks to be fulfilled that will impress an order enough to allow them to join.
History
The fortress has been subjected to a number of attacks by Those of Gaulren but none were capable of sieging it for more than a few days. The Justicar's Bastion finished construction in the year 842 F.S. after several beastman hordes made their way out of the Garot Forest and into the province of Solden. The Justicar's Blades secured funding from Solden for the fortress to protect against these attacks as well as the attacks from Those of Gaulren. The fortress has remained under Blade control since its construction. It has been one of the largest sources of new recruits for the Blades as a town sprung up on around the fortress mostly filled with worshipers of the Justicar.
