Those of Gaulren
The Republic of Solden and Vernica consider Those of Gaulren to be a collection of various tribes of barbarians and savages. Those of Gaulren already lived on Gaulren before the colonists from the old world arrived. Those of Gaulren did not have any major presence on the Mirri Grasslands and did not notice the arrival of the foreigners until they had already established a significant foothold. Ever since then war between Those of Gaulren and The Republic of Solden and Vernica has been constant. Those of Gaulren constantly raid Republic settlements and under the rule of the King of the First even laid siege to Solden itself. Those of Gaulren were pushed back The Sanctuary in between the Second and Third Republican civil War and once again after the events of the sundering. Those of Gaulren made a handful of major offensives into Republican lands, but ever since the construction of the Wall of Quinctius have only sent raiding parties along the coasts of the Republic , Daqin Dynasty, and Tribes of Caelum.
Structure
Those of Gaulren are a collection of tribes generally at peace with eachother and occasionally band together to defend against incursions or strike out in retaliation. The tribes have not banned together as one for several centuries due to their inability to crack through the Wall of Quinctius.
History
Those of Gaulren have existed on Gaulren since before the colonization era. Captured members of Those of Gaulren claim the land lived in peaceful harmony before their arrival throwing the world into turmoil. Those of Gaulren have fought against The Republic of Solden and Vernica since they began spreading outside of the Mirri Grasslands. Those of Gaulren have been attempting to prevent them from pushing any further and even pushed them back Solden during The Fields of Solden under the command of the King of the First. Those of Gaulren were pushed back after the forces of the Republic rallied all the way back to the Sanctuary. Those of Gaulren would make several pushes into the province of Red Water mostly taking hold of the Garot Forest, but leaving the Wind Blown plains relatively untouched.
During the events of the sundering it is said that Those of Gaulren made a pact with demons to gain power to destroy the Republic releasing demons and creating a new breed of beastman. They managed to push all the way to Solden a second time, but fighting between the forces of Those of Gaulren and The soulless pouring from the Adal Caliphate allowed Solden to survive until the Justicar crashed into the planet destroying the attacking forces.
After the Crusades Those of Gaulren were pushed once again to the sanctuary. Some tribes made occasional forays into Red Water, but were usually crushed within a few weeks. Once the wall of Quinctius was built Those of Gaulren were relegated to a minor annoyance that occasionally raided settlements, mostly along the coast. Those of Gaulren have kept The Sanctuary safe from invaders with the furthest recorded push only making it a few miles into the forest before being routed completely. Those of Gaulren's tribes have remained a mystery as it is impossible to get any meaningful information out of any captured and there has never been a recorded case of one willingly migrating to another kingdom
