Bragan Swamp

Sitting on the southern border of the Daqin Dynasty borders and the northern border of the Vostok Forest the Bragan Swamp is one of the most populated swamps on all of Gaulren. The Lizardmen currently reside in the swamp and use the bounty of the swamp to make a living.

Geography

The Swamp is a rather large swamp with a multitude of grasslands and small forest inside of it on high grounds in the area. The Bragan Swamp spills into the Northern Vostok Forest and there are several miles where the distinction between the two are blurred. The Bragan Swamp is full of life and diversity as well as many farms used by the Lizardmen to produce their food and products to trade.
The Swamp is one of the two swamps that flank the only pathway leading into the lands of the Daqin Dynasty. Due to this fact any attack into the Daqin Dynasty has to be directed at Castle Tomoga sitting on the only easily traversable land.
The Bragan Swamp is hostile to most humanoids trying to live there, but the Lizardmen have adapted and made it their home. The Republic has attempted to send attacks through the swamp, but the swamp often mired them down and units would get lost in the thick fog that would cover the area in the morning and often into the early afternoon.

History

The swamp has historically been owned by the Lizardmen who have been vassalized by the Daqin Dynasty. The area is a frequent location for raids by the Tribes of Caelum.
