2025 New Year's Resolutions

2025 Plans
Here's my 2025 plans, not including music stuff.Rework Homepage
(Completed 02-11-2025)Top priority as I want it to be freaking awesome for the Worldbuilding Awards. Might need better images and stuff.
Create Logo
I'd like a logo for the Legends of the Dragonguard. Something simple, easily recognizable, and would fit the setting of the world. It would not only be in canon, but also just used for the branding of LotD.
I like what WorldAnvil has for their sidebar, with their square logo being the homepage button. I'd like to do the same.

Work out story flow / plot of the story on NovelFactory.
What I wrote for the first rough draft was during NovelEmber and it's not all that great the further you read. The beginning is alright.
Add what I wrote for NovelEmber to the manuscripts on WorldAnvil.
(Completed 03-29-2025)Pretty easy one, but there's a lot and I feel like I'm just gonna put it off, even if it is copy and pasting from a Google Doc.
Dragonkin designs
At least sketch out some of the dragonkin species. I vaguely know what they look like. It would be nice to have actual images, but a sketch will do. Subsequently, after designing them, also create discord emojis based on my species for my discord server. :)
Update World Atlas Map
Seriously out of date. And possibly make smaller maps for each region or something. Kinda like what ESO does for their in game map.
Add more detail to characters
A lot of the characters don't have much info on their page.
Add more detail to barebone and stub articles
There's plenty of stub articles, mostly from Summer Camp 2024. They're listed on the Trello board.
More worldbuilding!
Get through more of the create backlog listed on the Trello board.
Expand on the Dragonguard
Ok, this kind of fits under the More Worldbuilding! item, but I just wanted to specifically call this out. I've done a little expanding on the Dragonguard's structure during WorldEmber, but there's more to do!
I guess also expand on some of the other organizations too, especially the Dragonbane Order.

I love how there's a board game in world, and of course the name of it caught my eye. I've been thinking of also creating board and card games in my world. I love the history about this board game, and that there's actual details on how the game works. My favorite part is when the egg is ready to hatch, the player says "If I were a dragon, then..." and reveals their cards explaining the behavoir or appearance of their dragon. |
Written for one of my prompts. :) I actually have a similar golden tree idea for my world; more of a pirate tale than anything. I also like how many uses the tree has, but harvesting materials from it is limited because it's seen as a holy object. |
Sounds amazing! I've had candied bacon before, which is great, but this sounds like it's on a whole new level! I'd love to actually try this recipe. I also like how there's a bit of history for this, too. |
The Mother Dragons Faith

The Agarthan faith in Dragons who made the land in Edda Revised by Valentine Myers
I love the amount of information about it, the namings, and the culture! The mythology is also super interesting. |

I'm not much of a magicy person (which is why there isn't any in my world), but Imagica's writing, and this world's setting has me intrigued! I'd love to learn more about the mages, and the magic system/mechanics. |

What an interesting and detailed character! It's cool that she can create fires of different colours, each with a different temperature and taste. I like the story between her and her angel lover. Sad that her wings were cut off, similarly to one of my characters. (Although under different circumstances) |
The lore and history in this article are very interesting. I also love the description of the dragon; "U could easily have been mistaken for a mound of cracked, cooling lava." |
in The Great Tree by Thereasonwhy
An interesting organization structure; I like the namings. The quote at the top of the page is well written! |
Amethyst Dragons
Species

A unique type of Gem Dragon with powerful Psiionic potential in Edda Revised by Valentine Myers
Dragons! This was shared with me when I created my Shimmerhorn drake species, a type of crystalline dragonkin.
I like the description of the amethyst dragons, the growth rate & stages, using their psychic abilities for hunting, and how they've done some domestication of their own. They're also quite large, with a length of 25 feet in total! I also enjoyed the culture/history; what a tragic ending it was for this species of dragon. |
A super interesting material, and the article's CSS is also stunning! I love the description, details, and characteristics of this mysterious metal. The legendary items created from this material are also really interesting. |
What a beautifully detailed tradition! I love the idea of the regional variations. |
As someone who used to do programming, I really enjoyed this! The hardware CODE and the Wristwatch are very similar to an idea my friends and I had for a video game, thought it was not as detailed as this. I love the all the applications in every day life this technology has. |
Interesting idea using the "Vehicle" article template for this. I love the name and the specific use of this creature. I'd personally classify it as a wyvern — as it has wings and back legs — but their world may classify things differently, and that's ok. Still, it was an interesting and scary article to read! |
Imagica has been featured quite a lot on this page, what can I say, they're good at writing and worldbuilding. :) And, of course, I just had to read this article. :o god damn, this is beautifully written. I wish I was this good at it. I also took part in Haly's "If I was a dragon" challenge — I had to, it wouldn't behoove me if I didn't haha — but my thing does not even come close to what Imagica has written. I had a hard time trying to come up with something for the challenge, as it was near the end of WorldEmber and my brain was just done by that point, so I don't think my thing is all that great. "I’d live in high cliffs, where the wind carves songs into the stone." — I want to steal this line and use it as a quote for one of my characters; it's so good! |
in Crux Umbra by Imagica
Yes, another article from Imagica, lol. Like I said previously, I'm not much of a magicy person, but this is some great worldbuilding!
I love how magic itself changed and adapted to the expanding scope of mortal comprehension. I also love how the few who can see beyond the illusion of comprehension and wield the raw essence of magic, capable of bending it to their will, are what the mages are, and that the cost of doing so is high, unless they atune themselves to one of the four pillars of magic. I like how each of the four pillars of magic are unique, and aren't just the natural elements like water, air, earth, etc. (All of these are in one pillar, not on their own). I'd be interested to see the professions and how mages are proceived / used in this world, before the cataclysmic event. The explanation of how vampires came to be and the over all history are super interesting! I'd like to be a Chaos Mage, that sound badass af lol. |

I saw this randomly as a recent article on their homepage, and it intrigued me. I don't drink much, but I actually do like brandy. This sounds like it would be interesting, and if was real, I'd love to try it out! |
This entire article is just hilarious, even the title. |
