Novascale Island
Novascale Island is a stunning landmass nestled in the heart of the OCEAN NAME, found to the east of the Shattered Archipelagos. This island is renowned as the sole home of the majestic novascale amphitheres, a unique species that gives the island its distinctive name.
Geography
The island, a vast expanse of land, has its origins in the gradual awakening of a dormant volcano over an extended period. Its terrain is characterized by rocky outcrops, black soil, and sandy beaches, a testament to its volcanic beginnings. Erosion has been steadily reshaping the island as it diminishes in size, a process hastened by the waning volcanic activity that originally formed it.
In light of the diminishing landmass, extensive efforts are being made to explore the relocation of the novascale amphithere in order to ensure its survival before the island becomes too diminutive and inhospitable for its inhabitants.
Climate
The region possesses a tropical climate, featuring consistently warm temperatures and high humidity. Furthermore, it is prone to frequent and powerful tropical storms, especially during the summer months. These storms have a significant impact on the area, leading to erosion of the rocky shores and influencing the local landscape.
Fauna & Flora
On this island, there is an extensive variety of plant and animal species that thrive in the ecosystem. Among these, there are unique and exclusive fauna such as the novascale amphithere.
History
The island originally formed due to volcanic activity from a small hot spot, but over time, the hot spot has subsided, and the island has gradually decreased in size. The shrinking of the island can be attributed to the impact of strong ocean currents and frequent storms that continuously erode its coastline and landmass.
