Director of Logistics

The Director of Logistics is a commander from the Dragonguard who is respondible for managing and overseeing extensive logistical operations within the alliance. This includes coordinating supply lines, ensuring timely delivery of equipment, food, and other resources, and maintaining the readiness of troops stationed across various locations.   In addition to their operational responsibilities, the Director of Logistics holds a prominent position on the Board of Directors. While they play a significant strategic role, it is important to note that they are technically out-ranked by Coalition Officers, and the Archon of the Dragonguard, who holds additional athority and oversight as the Director of Military Affairs. This dynamic creates a complex hierarchy within the alliance, where collaboration and strategic alignment between logistics and military operations are essential for achieving overall objectives.   The three or four-star commander can be selected from any of the three branches of the Dragonguard's armed forces: the army, navy or air force. The Director of Logistics is appointed by the Board of Directors, who carefully consider the candidates' extensive experience, leadership abilities, and contributions to military operations.

Qualifications

The qualifications required for the position of Director of Logistics include that the individual must have a rank of a three or four-star commander in the field of logistics for a minimum of three years. This experience should include overseeing logistical operations, managing supply chains, and effectively coordinating resources to ensure mission success in complex scenarios.   In addition to their military credentials, similar to the Coalition Officers, the candidate must also undertake a council tour. This tour is designed to provide them with direct exposure to council members, enabling them to build professional relationships and gain insights into the operational and strategic goals of the organization. Throughout this period, the candidate will participate in various meetings and collaborative activities. These engagements will not only enhance their understanding of the Dragonguard's objectives, but also foster important interdepartmental connections that are vital for the role, ensuring seamless communication and cooperation across all levels of the organization.

Appointment

The appointment to Director of Logistics relies on obtaining a unanimous vote from the Board of Directors, and a 3/4 majority vote from the council Ambassadors. This decision-making body comprises esteemed leaders who assess the candidates' performance, dedication, and vision for the future of the Dragonguard, ensuring that only the most qualified individuals ascend to this pivotal leadership role.
