Director of Public Affairs
The Director of Public Affairs is a civilian-appointed position for advocating on behalf of the general public within the Dragonguard Alliance. They are responsible for managing and shaping the public image and reputation by developing and implementing communication strategies, building relationships, monitoring public sentiment, and acting as the alliance's spokesperson.
The director is guided by the Ambassadors, who ensure that community concerns and viewpoints concerning military affairs and humanitarian aid are communicated and addressed. The Dragonguard Alliance is not, however, an intergovernmental agency, only a military alliance, so community concerns only pertain to military affairs and humanitarian aid for this organization. Any political issues are left to the nation to deal with unless, of course, a nation attacks another.
This is one of the director positions, along with the Director of Finances and Resources, that was introduced after the formation of the Dragonguard Alliance. After the Draconian War, the organization sought to keep going, recognizing the importance of having an alliance across Azlov, to protect humanity from any Ancient threats. While the Draconian Concord was being drafted, the organization thought to have a public relations position to address the public on Dragonguard affairs, as well as to listen to the public's concerns and viewpoints on certain topics.
