Dragonguard

Dragonguard can refer to several organizations; the global alliance or a city's local law enforcement.   The Dragonguard Alliance, most commonly referred to as just Dragonguard, is the global alliance of all the countries who are members. Each city also has its own local version of this, usually referred to as the city's dragonguard (e.g., Rayhaven Dragonguard). They act as law enforcement and tactical unit in a city or state/region's jurisdiction.   The Dragonguard Alliance will summon a certain number of personnel from regions near the area of conflict. Only under certain circumstances is the full Dragonguard Alliance summoned. This has happened only once, near the beginning of the Dragonguard's formation.

    Wax Seal

Any document created or sent by the Dragonguard that needs to be sealed is done with sealing wax. The Dragonguard Alliance, despite not being a colony or an actual government, has its own emblem and colored wax used for sealing.   They use charcoal black wax and mix it with a small amount of fine gold dust to create a sparkling black and gold color. Before pressing, sky-blue ink is deposited into the groves of the stamp. After pressing and lifting the stamp, the ink is imprinted on the bevels of the emblem, highlighting them in a sky-blue color.

    Salute

The Dragonguard Salute consits of saluting in some way (closed right fist to the left shoulder? Like in ESO and many other fantasy things, or a normal American like salute with out stretched right hand palm down to the brow? idk).   A salutation can be used both for greeting someone and for saying farewell. When performing the salute at full present, the Guardian will say, "Fly high, Guardian." The recipient then returns the gesture and may also repeat the salutation. This is equivalent to saying "Hail" in other fantasy works.

    Public Agenda

    Local
Under local stateside and city jurisdictions, the Dragonguard protects public order and the public itself. This commonly includes the safety, health, and possessions of citizens, and to prevent crime and civil disorder.   Global
Under the global alliance, the Dragonguard is a collective security system; its independent member states agree to defend each other against attacks by third parties.

    History

The Dragonguard Alliance was created when several neighboring regions banded together during the Draconian War.

    Military

The Dragonguard Alliance groups members from each city into divisions, based on their profession. Despite the possibility of overlapping ranks, there are permanent members of the Dragonguard Alliance to prevent any arguments between cities. These are known as Officers(?), and each division has a set of them. They have their own small rank hierarchy as well, and can be thought of the officer ranks in the US Military in the real world.
