Corgerian

While they are commonly referred to as the old race the reality is rather different. While their origins are buried in the distant past, they are actually descended from the intermixture of humans, gods, demons and the results of magical age extension. They generally appear to be similar in appearance to the human populations they live with, but can live for centuries thanks to their magical nature. Due to their tendency to outlive nations their loyalties are often focused on their extended families, but because of their longevity and often superior physical abilities they often are rulers in the societies they live in. The downside is they are more prone to insanity than human populations and have a considerably lower fertility rate. Through an evolutionary fluke they are far more likely to have female children than male children at roughly a two to one ratio. Both plural marriage and an acceptance of lesbianism are major features of Corgerian culture. The large female population has directly fed the development of all female warrior orders like the Alyites, Zalarites and the Salyite Assassins.
