Yvrulian
The Yvrulians are the people of the Yfri Fields proper, those who live in the sprawling grasslands of the northern region of Yfri, which had been called Yvruel for several centuries.
Yvrulians generally see themselves as the true guarantors of the Canton's heritage, history, and culture. They largely view themselves as superior to all other Milosian cantons, not only for their strong ties to Monos (which after all is true of Kingsrift and the Hostlands as well), but for their historic "alliances" with the Viisianars and Mornals during the days of the Empire's rule, and their loose connections with Vaina to the north. The Mornals are not exactly celebrated in the Yfri Fields, but they are certainly remembered with less rancor than in any other Canton.
Yvrulians are generally seen as tall, muscular, comely, with more gilten-leaning complexions due to their intermarriage with the Shyei Geir (and, some claim, the Vainans and the ancient Viisianars).
Also called Horse Lords, Horsemen, and Horse Masters, the Yvrulians have long embraced the Monosi concepts of chivalry and the Host Keeping Faith. If the Hostlands are the shield of the faith in the Peninsula, the Yvrulians are surely its spear.
