Drovvin
The overlooking city. The stone fortress. The city of Drovvin. One of the ancient cities of Cytal which has watched the continent evolve for hundreds of years. Contributing to society with revolutions in mining and blacksmithing and enchanting all from a stronghold carved into the side of the Dual Peaks. A difficult place to live but one that is rewarded with a community that includes all walks of life and protection from the dangers of the world.
The People:
Walking around its steep pathways and narrow alleys, you’ll mostly find Alum that align with stone, earth and ice. Mixed with Marubell, the living statues, and Minauran families who fled to the city after the Minaruan Slaughter. The History:
The Rage of Dragons - an ancient war between the city of Drovvin and the dragon protectors Vivallence over the rising threat of dragons in the mountainous region of Cytal. With a curse corrupting the mind of the flying creatures turning them into mindless beasts and nearly bringing the destruction of the city. Through brute force and strong will, the threat was overcome but leaving a foul taste in the mouths of Vivallence. Minauran Slaughter - After the city of Entello was burnt to the ground many Minauran fled the South East out of fear from the city of Prassan. Drovvin sent forces to protect the refugees and opened their doors to any who sought protection. Years later, when the city of Uwoll was founded (a Minauran run city from the families of refugees) an alliance was formed between Drovvin and the new founded settlement that still holds true to this day. The Artificer’s Trial - After the Cytal civil war Drovvin wished to raise its defences by harnessing a very powerful ore, aura stone. The king released a challenge to the public to find new blacksmiths who could harness the power of the stone in the hopes of creating new armour and weapons for his royal guard. After finding several people capable of such a task, he suggested they form a new faction in his city. Eventually becoming the Handlers of Purity.
