Strafol Ore

Strafol ore is the material of fallen star rock, often seen flying across a night star but on rare occasion lands in the lands of Violem. A rare ore that has been used in a limited number of artefacts throughout history and is highly valuable, estimated at a price of 10,000 gold in its raw state.

Appearance:

If one was to look at Strafol, they would find a near black stone cluster, with various small craters along its surface, giving it a rough texture. Running through the rock is small thin strips of clear crystal said to be solidified magic in a physical form. The crystal gives off a feint white glow similar to a distant star.   The ore has many desirable properties making it even more of a high valued material throughout Violem. From its ability to absorb and redirect light to enhancing celestial based spells. As well as holding magnetic qualities, attracting or repelling metallic objects. Finally, it is resistant to electric attacks from Lightning Alum and Sauratar.

Strafol Seekers:

The most knowledgeable beings of the ore call themselves the Strafol Seekers. A guild originally comprised of miners and blacksmiths ordered by the Royal family of Drovvin to scour the land and return it to the city. Over centuries, the guild have gained near perfect knowledge of the ore, its capabilities and refined the processes required to wield the ore into the finest weapons and armour.   Wherever a fallen star lands, the seekers are quick to follow. Most notably they roam the Craters of Crellan. A dangerous environment which saw the Acruan of Strafol bring down the heavens in a fit of rage. In doing so, brought an abundance of the ore to the lands of Cytal. Travellers also speak about the kingdom of Maraleye discovering a way to summon fallen strafol on command, but these are surely just rumours.   Standing out from the crowd, Strafol Seekers are often recognised for their near perfect black armour decorated with white stripes to represent the solidified magic. Whilst their armour and weapons are often made from the remnants of the ore, it is used sparingly in their garments.
Would you look at that. A thing of pure beauty it is. A surface darker than the skies of a stormy night and raw magic running in its veins. Makes me heart swell just looking at it.
