Horseshoe Peaks
A large mountain range surrounds most of Myas'tara, beginning in the southwest corner of the Nythenor Plains and running north along the Sea of Mists, east along the Drakkon Sea, and south along the Rashtara Channel, tapering out north of the Rashtara Span. The mountains originally had different names, given by the dwarves in the Girimbor Caverns and orcs on the Mosharg Steppes, but in modern times, the humanoid races on Myas'tara have adopted the Horseshoe Peaks as the common name.
A few Goliath tribes live in the northern reaches of the mountains, overlooking the steppes. The Aurochs Tribe lives in a village on a plateau in the northwestern end of the mountains. Favouring defence and protection, their village is fortified from outsiders, using the elevation of the plateau and a wooden palisade as barriers. The White Tiger Tribe lives towards the northeastern end of the mountains in a village at the edge of a small forest. Their strength and ferociousness deters would-be invaders. The Eagle Tribe lives between the other two, favouring wisdom, keeping watch over the goings on in the mountains and steppes. Their village is a system of caves carved into the rock.
