When a creature takes at least 1 hour to peruse this room, it can choose to make an Intelligence or Wisdom based skill check to find specific knowledge within this room. Even if the creature does not (or cannot) succeed on this roll, it can typically uncover a hint as to where else in the world this information may be found.
If the maintenance cost for this room is paid to hire a skilled hireling proficient in at least one Intelligence based skill as a librarian, a creature requires only 1 minute instead of 1 hour to peruse the room, and the check the creature makes has advantage.

Architecture

• The library has been fully cleaned up and cleared of debris, though it is sparsely decorated and with relatively few books on the massive number of shelves.
• Some make-shift stump seats have been brought inside to use at the large, natural-grown tables.  A massive window at one end is still partially overgrown, though much of the bark that once hid it has been removed and the window mostly repaired.
• All books and scrolls with legible text have been gathered and collected. Those fully beyond repair have been destroyed. Those who may be able to be repaired (with time, skill, and cost) have been stored safely below ground in the cleared-out store room.
