The Duke of Crescent Rock is the feudal lord of Duchy of Crescent Rock.
The title is unisex and passes to the eldest direct heir with sorcerery, whether they are a sorcerer or sorcress. It just happens to be the case that the current ruler is a sorcerer and thus is called "Duke" rather than "Duchess"
Benefits
On paper the Duke of Crescent Rock has oversight over all the counties therein and can command their retinues in troops while collecting taxes from their vassals.
In practice, the Duke collects a modest tax and little else from his vassals though the Duke collects a reasonable income from his personal demense.
