Rigertis
The Rigertis is the governing body of Terios. In this building all decisions for the state are made by several Chiterae (representatives) from the different city states. The Chiterae from Golandon are chosen only by the inhabitants that are able to vote. Chiterae from outside Golandon are elected based on the election process of their respective city state. Being a Chitera has many benefits including ensured lodging in the Anchia District.
Architecture
The building itself dates from the Avaronian time but has since then been changed although the influence is still uncanny. The building exists out of 3 stories each with walkway with columns around it. The floors between the columns are painted and show several historical depictions. The lower murals show the founding of the city while the higher murals show the unification of the country. The walls themselves are completely in blue glazed bricks and on some parts painted with historical figures as well. The treelike columns of the Avaronian style have remained but have been painted over with dark blue colours. Also the roof part has been changed in comparison to ancient times. The arches that used to be on top have been replaced by wave like appendages and the flat roof has been changed into a terracotta one.
History
The building was originally build for the Avaronian city of Gonevar in the year 342 BF. In this period it was used as an arcane college. When in 54 BF the Gonevar revolution started most of the cit was largely destroyed. The Rigertis however was not as damaged as most of the city. When the original Golandians decided to resettle the Anchia hill they used this building as their gathering place. In 10 AE the restoration of the Rigertis was started. It was a this time that several changes were made to the original building. The building has not changed a lot since then because the Golandians want to keep it as close as possible to it's original form. It has been renovated very often however.
However it was not until the chiterae were introduced in 987 AE that it was fully used for political purposes.
