Common Worshipers

The goddess of spring and farming has a strong following of worshippers amongst famers and within farming communities, and she is regarded as being one of the most widely followed deities on the Material Plane. Even those who are not regular adherents will generally hold celebrations in her honour at the beginning of spring each year, to make the changing of the seasons and the arrival of better weather.

Priesthood

There are many clerics dedicated to Persephonell, most of whom are rooted within agricultural communities where they not only act as blessers of crops and diagnosticians of diseases and disorders of crops and livestock, but also toil in the fields alongside the farmers they live among.   Clerics of Persephonell are trained at one of the great temples dedicated to the goddess. There they learn husbandry, veterinary medicine and agricultural sciences as well as the divine mysteries of the goddess herself.

Temples

Of all of the The Divine War, Persephonell is thought to be the one with the most temples dedicated to her honour. Her divine domains mean that most settlements will have a temple, or at the very least a shrine dedicated to her and these temples are often built with communal barns or storehouses attached to them, where the local community can store their produce under the protection of the goddess.   Persephonell has several great temples dedicated to her, which act as hubs for the training of her clergy. These great temples are set within their own expansive acres of farmland and grazing land, which the temple novices tend. All produce from these temples is sold to local communities at a highly subsidised price, or donated to the needy, so that the bounty of Persephonell can be shared with all.   Shrines or statues to Persephonell are also often set up in fields or on grazing land, so that the goddess can watch over the crops and animals whilst they grow.

Activities in the Divine War

Her divine domains mean that she has been greatly distressed by the seemingly unending Divine War, a conflict that has brought so much suffering to Divine and mortal alike. The conflict has led her to become estranged from her husband, Polephemon, one of the main belligerents in the conflict and it has been many many years since Persephonell has been able to tolerate being close to her erstwhile husband.
