Settlements of Teros

The locations of settlements in Teros are determined by access to reliable water sources. Other than Persothan in the swamps of the north, other towns and cities rely on the land's limited rivers or on subterranean wells.
 

Abatt

Abatt is a small town on a long bluff overlooking the plains of the Midar Hills. Known for its terraced vineyards, the town holds an annual wine festival.   A recent earthquake has caused significant damage to the town, and the community is working hard to rebuild.  

Amur Lefra

Amur Lefra is built into a deep crack in the mountains. Its spiralling terraces are cut into the rock face, and many bridges span the yawning chasm below. The city was once the Terosian capital, from whence Tekkaron dominated much of the Helerin Archipelago. The sorceress Yarivona made Amur Lefra her seat of power, and following her defeat much of the city remains in ruins.  

Andrin

Guarding the entrance to Nerin Pass and the road between Olnath and Benann, Andrin is a key stop-off for trading caravans, but the town still bears the scars of the War of Salvation. The once-thriving marketplace lies in ruins, a stark reminder of the brutal siege that took place.   Many of the town's buildings remain charred and damaged, with only a few having been fully restored. The people of Andrin continue to live under the shadow of the war, with old wounds and memories resurfacing in times of hardship.  

Ankonn

Ankonn is a very small town in the foothills of the northern Redpeaks, centered around a river valley. The town is known for its nearby silver mines, and many of Ankonn’s sizeable population of Boma work as silversmiths and jewellers.   Legends tell of a deep cave in the mountains where a slumbering monster guards a fabulous treasure hoard.  

Benann

Benann lies in the Crimson Hills. The town is known for its mines and its metalworkers.  

Berwan Falls

Berwan Falls is a small town east of Kerenna. The town is situated next to a large waterfall on the River Berwan, where it joins the Resk. Known for its great cascade, Berwan Falls hosts a festival to Mavani each spring.   Hidden caves behind the waterfalls are rumoured to contain crystals with magical properties.  

Chir Jassod

Chir Jassod is a small town at the mouth of the River Rast in a fertile lowland plain. Known for its skilled stone masons, the town's economy thrives on craftsmanship.  

Dassar Bridge

Dassar Bridge is a small town in the Vizrin Highlands. It guards an important crossing on the River Andras. The town is notable for its large population of Kazlaa.   Its mighty stone bridge was destroyed in the War of Salvation, and a new wooden was built in its stead.  

Elinann

Elinann is the only major settlement on the island of Teros Minor. This bustling port city sits on the island's southern coast, looking out across the Mabon Channel. For a time, the city was independent of Terosian rule, but the city was returned to the realm as Yarivona rose to power.  

Ferrash

Ferrash is a small town on Lake Ferrash, at the confluence of the rivers Konn and Harrin. It is known for its fishing and weaving industries. The town’s rich traditions are celebrated during the Ferrash Festival of the Looms, where master weavers demonstrate their skills and the town square transforms into a bustling marketplace.  

Forliss

Forliss is a very small town on the River Klormarr, situated in the foothills of the southern Redpeaks. The town is known for its goat herding and cheese making, as well as the timber from its nearby pine woods.   Stories of a legendary goat that can grant wishes are almost certainly not true.  

Gullhaven

Gullhaven is a small but crowded town on the southern shores of Leviathan Bay. Renowned for its lighthouse, the town is a major smuggling route. The town’s mayor, widely known to be corrupt, turns a blind eye to the illegal activities.   Hidden caves beneath the town are used by smugglers to pass goods secretly.  

Hedar's Crossing

Hedar's Crossing is a bustling small town on the River Oln, just east of the capital Olnath.   Much trade passes through the town by road and river. It is a key stopping point on the road to Amur Lefra and the towns of the north. The town's dominating feature is the great stone bridge spanning the Oln.  

Hexash

Hexash is a small town on the upper reaches of the River Lespa, overlooking the Bayland plains. Known for its skilled weavers, Hexash is also famed for its Gorrach breeding, celebrated during the Hexash Gorrach Fair. This lively event features Gorrach parades, races, and a rodeo where riders showcase their skills in taming these powerful beasts.  

Kerenna

Kerenna lies on the southern bank of the River Resk at the edge of the Wastes. The town forms the northermost limit of the current Peacekeeper occupation.  

Kurrin

Kurrin is a small town in the Crimson Hills, situated near the source of the River Filran.   Known for its aromatic herbs grown around the springs, the town draws herbalists and healers from far and wide.  

Larronas

Larronas is a small town in the southern Baylands, close to the capital city of Olnath. Known for its meat production, Larronas holds The Bulls' Parade each year, a grand celebration where cattle of all breeds are paraded through the streets. The event includes butchery demonstrations, meat-tasting sessions, and a grand banquet, making it a key event in the town's calendar.   Larronas is located near the ancient ruins of a once-grand palace. The palace, now mostly in ruins, was once the home of a powerful mage.   Unbeknown to the Peacekeepers in the capital, Larronas is home to the Homelanders, a secret rebel organisation seeking to remove the occupying power.  

Lespir

Lespir is a small port on the southern coast of Teros, where it faces across the Mabon Channel to the city of Orbont.   The town is located near a massive natural rock arch that spans the entrance to a secluded bay. The arch is considered sacred by the local populace, who believe it to be a gateway to the Realm of Magic. The town holds an annual festival in honor of the spirits said to dwell there.  

Marun

Marun, a small and quiet town on the southern shore of Lake Kir, is surrounded by natural defensive features: steep hills to the north and dense forests to the south. These natural barriers have helped the town fend off numerous attacks over the centuries, and the townspeople take pride in their ability to defend themselves.   The town is located near a mysterious grove of ancient trees known as the Eldenwood. The townspeople often avoid the grove, fearing its mystical powers.  

Mavan

Mavan is a small town on the River Berwan, situated at the western entrance to the Mavan Gap.   Known for its skilled woodworkers, the woods are said to be home to a rare magical tree whose wood can be crafted into powerful charms and artifacts.  

Mirosh Boda

Mirosh Boda is a small town in the Wailing Hills of Teros Minor, situated near the source of the River Bod. The town is famous for its healing hot springs, and attracts the sick and infirm (at least, those able to make the journey).  

Morshann

Morshann is a small town at the southern edge of the Crimson Hills, situated at the head of the River Osra, and known for its blacksmiths. Dark river stones with unique properties are believed to enhance metalwork. The town’s founding is celebrated during the Feast of the First Forge, where blacksmithing competitions draw artisans from across the region. The day concludes with the lighting of the ceremonial First Flame and a grand feast showcasing the finest creations.   The town is home to the legendary blacksmith, Roran Blackhand. Known for his exceptional skill in crafting enchanted weapons, Roran’s presence has turned the town into a hub for adventurers seeking to acquire powerful arms.  

Natarr

Natarr is known for its sizeable Drile population. During the reign of the kings of House Kassammarral, the town was briefly the capital of the realm. Natarr sits on the western coast, on the fringes of the perilous Natarrine Sands.  

Nerin

Nerin is a small town in the Redpeak Mountains, east of Andrin.   Situated in the Nerin Pass, the town is a key trading post for loggers and those brave enough to dare the wilds of Drujin Forest.  

Olnath

The Terosian capital lies at the mouth of the Oln, where the river reaches Leviathan Bay. It is from here that the occupying Peacekeeper force extends its power across the south of the realm.  

Osran Bara

Famed for the blackened Burnt Keep that dominates the town, Osran Bara is a port on Leviathan Bay.  

Osran Bodis

Osran Bodis is a small town on the River Osra, situated in the fertile plains of the Northern Baylands. Known for its wheat farming, the town is home to a large temple to Girys.  

Payon

Payon is a small town on Teros Minor, situated at the mouth of the River Payla. The river delta is thronged with tall reeds, and the townspeople use these to make rope.  

Pennon

Pennon is a small town in the Rast Lowlands, situated where the Rast meets the River Stolmon.   The town has been taken over by a powerful and reclusive wizard. The people of Pennon live in fear of his wrath, and few dare to challenge his rule. The wizard has transformed the ancient stone at the river's convergence into a magical focus for his dark experiments.  

Persothan

Persothan is built on many small islands where the many water courses of the Festermere eventually coverge as they meet the sea. The city is home to many Bulgiss from the surrounding tribal lands.  

Radir's Rock

Radir's Rock sits at the mouth of the River Bod on the southern shores of Teros Minor, and is built on a large rocky outcrop.   The small town is known for its skilled sailors, the town is home to a large temple to Jires.  

Reskon

Sitting at the mouth of the River Resk, the town of Reskon lies between the Wastes and the Plains of Zarroth. Its people are well adapted to the challenges of living on the frontiers of such wild regions.  

Sharn Morill

Sharn Morill is a small town on the northern shores of Leviathan Bay. The town lies amidst a brackish coastal marsh, and is home to countless wading birds.  

Shaxtis

Shaxtis lies in the northern part of the Crimson Hills. This small town was once a hub for mining and for jewellery making, renowned for the quality of its gems and metalwork. However, the mines that fed its industry have been depleted, and the town's economy has suffered greatly as a result. The remaining craftsmen struggle to keep their trade alive, but many have left for more prosperous areas.  

Stolmon Ford

Stolmon Ford is a small town at the crossing of the River Stolmon, situated on the edge of a plateau overlooking the Rast Lowlands.   The town is known for its horses, and for the quality of its riders.  

Tiranann

Tiranann, a small town situated where the River Harrin flows into the Andras, is known for its strategic location. The town’s location means much trade passes through it.   Recently, the town has become the stronghold of a rebel lord who opposes the occupying forces of Forbin. This lord has gathered a group of loyal followers and is planning an uprising, making Tiranann a hub of resistance activity.  

Tornen Rosh

Tornen Rosh is situated at the point where the River Andras joins the Oln, and lies at the convergence of two key trade routes.   The small town is home to a powerful mage who lives alone in a tall tower at the northern edge of the town.   The town's population was significantly reduced during the War of Salvation.  

Tyrinn

Tyrinn is a small town on the River Lespa, north of Lespir in what was once a fertile valley. Tyrinn lies at the edge of the Plaguelands, and its harvests are often meagre.   The population has dwindled over the years, and many young people choose to leave rather than remain.
