Musical Communication
Dhani make use of the echoy effect across the silver basin to extend messages, emotions, and ideas between communities. They also possess a form of throat singing meant to convey simple, but specific, information. In addition, the Dhani have:Culture and cultural heritage
Dhani Lines
The dhani lines are a group of giant glowing geoglyphs drawn in the soil of the Silver Desert during the Munay Manqus Pacha; mostly in the eastern part of the Dhani homeland. The immense scale and intricate designs of the geoglyphic art mark sacred pathways for religious rituals and processions. They are overseen by the priestly 'Lady of the Lines' as a common leader among the different mountain settlements.Shared customary codes and values
Pregnancy Worship
Much like the rest of the highland cultures, the Dhani have a unique interpretation of huaca as it relates to couples. Expectant mothers are revered. They take pride in their maternal forms and bare their bellies with a special mark painted on, until the day they give birth. A pregnant woman becomes so important that her status becomes equal to or surpasses that of their warriors on the battlefield.Average technological level
Yawarmanta
Yawarmanta is a specialized form of old spellcasting that taps into the power of blood. Practitioners channel their own blood, and that of others, to tap into a primal energy and infusing it into spells, rituals, or even their own bodies to obtain unique advantages.Common Dress code
The elites don elegant and sophisticated clothing. Their attire typically includes flowing capes made of rich, dark fabrics, intricately embroidered with ancient symbols and motifs. They may also be adorned with ornate jewelry, such as silver necklaces and rings embedded with precious gemstones.
Art & Architecture
Effigy Pots
Dhani pottery are known for their colourful brilliance, intricate design and sculptural qualities. Skills for such talent are unrestricted across Dhani society. Ceramics have both ceremonial and everyday use.Textiles
The Dhani are also renowned for their textiles made on a backstrap loom using cotton and camelid wool. They are pioneering in their warping, wefting and needle knitting techniques. Although, most everyday textiles are made in the home, there are also specializations for exquisite designs, colour and iconography. Many depict geometric designs while others bare animals and people decorated with natural dyes.Foods & Cuisine
Meat Based Diet
Mama, Qucha, Kawallu, Lamar and Quchapi are the more major mountainside towns where, by tradition, males ate only meat and milk from age 14 to 28, when they are in their warrior years. This is unique in the Four Corners, as their grainy soil yields meager crops for human consumption, yet vicuña and guinea pigs are able to thrive on miniscule shrubs.Coming of Age Rites
Head Hunting
Young warriors collected the defeated heads of other young warriors as tokens of success to be mummified, their mouths sewn and a rope pushed through their forehead so they could be carried. These trophy heads are used in a variety of rituals that promote agricultural fertility and rejuvenation.Funerary and Memorial customs
Burial Mounds
Dozens of adobe-topped natural hills, so modified to take a smoother shape, act as cemeteries to different settlements. They house a very small permanent population to maintain its usefulness as a ceremonial and pilgrim site. Burials of a decapitated person utilize ceramic "head jars" to replace a head that was lost in battle.Common Taboos
Low People
The mountain people, with their terraces and vantages against floods, are less burdened with needing to move every generation. However, many groups tell tales of lowlanders invading as literal monsters and besieging holdouts and non-strategic towns in the mountains.Common Myths and Legends
Dry Pachakuti
A pachakuti is a cataclysmic overturning of the 'old way of thinking'. For hundreds of years, the physical environment surrounding the silver mountains became increasingly desertified; leading to a much more aggressive and extortionist martial culture.Ideals

Major organizations
Dhani majority settlements ring around the silver mountains leading to them being administratively split between the First and Fourth Quadrant. As a result, Dhani are not officially recognized as being Dhani in their own lands. They are instead denoted by the village or mountain on which they live.
This arbitrary divide by the capital has corespondedly lead to friction among the mountain groups as part of the Innoit's 'divide and conquer' strategy.
First Quadrant
The river city of Diu has acted as the quadrant's capital by default since Tawantinsuyu's founding. Subsequent conquests into the silver mountains have troubled administrators in overseeing these towns.Aconcagua
An icy mountain and the tallest of the silver mountains.Licancabur
A holy volcano capped with a crater lake.Chuscha
A snow-capped hill covered in vineyards, fruit trees, family orchards and forage species.Fourth Quadrant
Until comparatively recently, the Dhani's Mama was the unofficial capital of the unrealized quadrant. Though Canna has left much to be desired as an administrative center.Toro
An easternmost mountain overlooking the silver trench.Quehuar
A dormant volcano covered in seasonal snow much of the year and containing a small glacier in its crater.Q'umir Umiña

My 'yikes' meter didn't know where it wanted to land with this group. Musical communication, support of pregnant women, 0/5 yikes. Blood magic, 3/5 yikes? Clothing and art, 0/5 yikes. Wearing a decapitated, mummified head on your belt, 5/5 yikes! That the 'Relationship Ideals' section includes only information on randomly generating enemies is perhaps also telling :P As someone not familiar with the Four Quadrants, I feel like I'm missing context for why the Dhani are relevant and what their impact is on the world. What's the expected interaction with this group?
I appreciate the honest feedback! It's interesting to see how different aspects of the Dhani's culture elicit varying reactions on your 'yikes' meter. I'll make sure to provide a more comprehensive picture of their societal dynamics in several companion articles, but the broadest stroke is that a lot of their internal rivalries and strife have been the driving engine for many a war and forced displacement throughout the mountains and valleys.
