It's time for a new edition of Adventure April! This month, we challenge you to write an RPG one-shot or short adventure. Forge your adventure, roll some dice, and see your world come to life!   Use the Plot template and submit it before April 29th to get the participation badge. Our favorite adventures will be compiled on our blog and we'll choose some of them to be featured in our LIVE Play May event next month!

Rules & other Information

  • Submissions must use the Plot Template. Your article must be PUBLIC and PUBLISHED to submit.
  • The minimum wordcount is 300 words. There is no maximum wordcount.
  • Keep the adventure self-contained in a single article (you may link to other content for expanded context or lore).
  • You may write an adventure that lasts more than one session, but only one-shots will be considered for Play May. If you want your adventure to be featured in a livestream, keep it short!
  • Only one article may be submitted per person (this does not mean one article per world, in cases where multiple authors work on a single world).
  • The article must be submitted before the closing time (during the livestream on April 29th) to be eligible for a participation badge.
  • Solo RPG adventures will not be chosen for public livestreaming in Play May, but they may be featured in the compilation blog post.
  • Similarly, NSFW adventures are allowed and may be featured but won't be chosen for public livestreaming.
  • Make sure to credit any art or maps you use (even if you're the author), and that you have permission to use them.
  • As always, World Anvil claims no ownership over your original work.
