Having aided in the recovery of Wakigami Castle, Ishikawa Goemon and her "Virtuous Thieves" are convinced to join the Hashinara Clan officially.
An attempt to collect a record of dates and events at which major individuals joined the ranks of the Hashinara Clan.
Having aided in the recovery of Wakigami Castle, Ishikawa Goemon and her "Virtuous Thieves" are convinced to join the Hashinara Clan officially.
The Yasutane Clan, who had occupied Hashinara Katamoto's domain after his death, are brought low and their remaining members, retainers, and assets vassalized under the New Hashinara.
Having lost the battle to become high priest of Tōdai-ji, Tōdaisen Nobuhara instead seeks prestige by attaching himself to Hashinara Katamoto as the new Daimyō's personal assistant. As Katamoto currently lacks any administrative functionaries, and the man seems capable and cunning, he is accepted with little question.
Utilizing a dark ritual, Katsusada Shishauezaemon returns Kamimusubi to unlife under his own control. Though the Kyonshī is mute, he learns much from her about the Chōsokabe Clan.
Under Katsusada Shishauezaemon's spell, a monstrous Oni is mesmerized into joining the Hashinara. For reasons perhaps best left unexplained, Shishauezaemon decides to name the enormous brute Baby Huey.
Aotsuki Tsukamoto is sent to meet with Tsukijō Hanahane and request his official support for the Hashinara Clan. Because of their previous dealings, and perhaps because of Aotsuki's own beauty, Hanahane is quick to agree.
Before his massive, ugly body has even cooled, Katsusada Shishauezaemon enacts dark magic to resurrect Baby Huey as a potent undead creature. Now more intelligent and more powerful than ever before, he chooses to join the Hashinara of his own will.
Following the Hashinara Clan's role in the immediate defeat of Vengeance and his Igamono, capable ninja Fujibayashi Nagato and Tsukuda Katsuo agree to work for the clan as shinobi.
The two Kyonshī captured from a previous skirmish with the Chōsokabe Clan are later revived by Katsusada Shishauezaemon and placed under his control. The first, Amenotokotachi is assigned to serve Ryūzaki Sanosuke, while the second, Umashiashikabihikoji is sent to reinforce Aotsuki Tsukamoto. Meanwhile, Katamoto keeps Kamimusubi, the third of their Kotoamatsukami, as his own servant.
Once freed from the Chōsokabe Clan's supernatural control, Motoyama Tsugutoshi, Daimyō of the minor Motoyama Clan, allies herself and her clan with the Hashinara. She explains that her home province of Sanuki has been overrun by Forsaken, and requests their help in recovering her ancestral lands.
Seeking a more efficient method of communication, Katsusada Shishauezaemon and his cohorts scout Shigeaki Fujino, a local psychic displaced by the actions of the Chōsokabe Clan. She immediately makes herself invaluable to the clan by establishing an organization-wide mental network that allows instantaneous communication with virtually no limit on distance, as well as reliable transportation to anywhere she can navigate to on a map through teleportation.
Following the liberation of her home at Takamatsu Castle in Sanuki, Motoyama Tsugutoshi is absorbed by the Hashinara as Vassal-Daimyō of the Motoyama Clan. This action is intended both to show her gratitude for their actions against the Chōsokabe Clan as well as to obtain their aid in rebuilding Takamatsu.
Performing a dark, necromantic ritual, Katsusada Shishauezaemon resurrects Ichinomiya Karen as an undead creature with her memories of life but under his control. It is his intent to use her as a bargaining chip against Ichinomiya Hachirō in dealings with his Ichinomiya Clan.
Though still technically a prisoner, Chōsokabe Kanetsugu forms a bond with Matsumoto Ooawagaeri and begins to act somewhat less like a convict and more like a general of the Hashinara Clan. Eventually the line is so blurred that she is considered an official of the clan without any major announcement or decision being made.
After taking some time following the death of her mother, Chōsokabe Motochika, Chōsokabe Nobuchika approaches Katsusada Shishauezaemon and the figurehead replacing Hashinara Yoshiyuki with a decision. She remains concerned about the other rifts, two beyond what her mother created, that continue to plague the land. Without any other family ties to hold her back, Nobuchika swears her sword to the Princess-Daimyō of the Hashinara and officially joins them as a general.
Motivated by the search for Chōsokabe Morichika, Ryūzaki Sanosuke enlists the help of her sister Chōsokabe Nobuchika and searches Wakigami. They come to Masamune's smithy, only to find that the swordsmith is drunk. He is gregarious however, and capable of carrying out a conversation regardless. They learn that Morichika is not there, but Masamune introduces himself as the best swordsmith in all of Japan, and offers to lend his services to the clan. Sanosuke gladly accepts.
Ryūzaki Sanosuke orders the construction of four major shrines across the Hashinara domain: Sakurai-jinja, a temple to Ame-no-Hiboko in Osaka, Miwa-myōjin, a secret shrine to Izanami-no-Mikoto in Yamato, Kameyama-jinja, a temple to Izanagi-no-Mikoto in Ise, and Tsubaki Okami Yashiro in Iga.
At the same time, he hires through the assistance of his aide Trivia a trio of custodians to oversee three of the shrines: Sumisaki Hisae for Miwa-myōjin, Yoshinami Sujio for Kameyama-jinja, and Hazutani Sengyo for Tsubaki Okami Yashiro. Sakurai-jinja will be headed by the Ryūzōji Clan's own Ryūzōji Masaie.
Construction of the basic shrines will be completed in a single day, but further upgrades are expected for all except Tsubaki Okami Yashiro.
Tiny Kensei Yagyū Jūbei is invited by Ryūzaki Sanosuke to stay at Nijō Castle with her sister, Yagyū Munefuyu. Although Jūbei still harbors ill feelings toward the Hashinara Clan, she has not put together that Nijō and Sanosuke are affiliated with them, and instead hopes to remain there at least until she can speak to Tachibana Muneshige.
Fubuki teleports outside to meet Tsukijō Hanahane's nighttime visitor, who turns out to be a moth yōkai called Hagasaki Rinko. The girl is enamored with treasures inside the Hanahane Manor, and wants the thing that's "like the sun" most of all. Hanahane believes this to be an Alexandrian sun symbol forged by the brilliant prisoner-artificers of Mavrovlachia, so Fubuki uses some water to recreate the treasure. Rinko isn't interested until a bit of oil in each point of the sun sets it alight as a lamp. Still, she's most interested in a decorative French lamp inside. Under some mild protests from Hanahane, Fubuki brings the moth in. The guard is still occupied with what @Munechika describes as a "distraction". Inside, Rinko goes straight for the lamp, but Hanahane's arm and Fubuki's hand around hers are able to stop her. Making the sun facsimile more elaborate, Fubuki promises that she* can make one just like it if Rinko will go with her*. Overjoyed, the moth girl agrees, and Hanahane seems relieved to have her out of the manor.
On the second day of the Mori Tournament, before matches had officially started, Yagyū Jūbei approached Ryūzaki Sanosuke and asked for a moment of his time. Having spoken to her sister, Yagyū Munefuyu the previous night, Jūbei had handily done away with all her previous misconceptions. Now aware that the Hashinara were not her enemy, nor the enemy of her master, she offered an apology. It was her desire to reunite with Tachibana Muneshige as soon as possible, and so she would be starting on a pilgrimage to The Palace of the Firebird immediately.
When the independent matches had finished and his own representatives cautioned about the bloody nature of the tournament, Aotsuki Tsukamoto and Tokku-hime retired to Ōtsu Castle for the remainder of the morning. The young lord wished to speak with two of his financial agents, Yokko and Momoyama Shunkei, and trusted his wife's legal counsel would be valuable as well. With a word to Abe no Seimei, the two were gathered in a second-floor meeting chamber and the meeting begun.
Okuni Priestess Placeholder (name by player) will join the Aotsuki Clan
Following the conclusion of the tournament (plus some extra festivities) for the day, Knight Commander Maxim prepared to take his leave of Shimonoseki. Before he could so much as stand from his seat, however, he received a mental missive from his adviser, Kitsuno. Apparently someone had shown up at Ago Manor in response to one of Maxim's summons. He could deal with it now, or later, or simply have Kitsuno take care of the introductions. Always a hands-on type of man, Maxim opted for the former.
As The White Blade of Hope: Date Masamune vanished from the arena, Aotsuki Tsukamoto breathed a sigh of relief. He was not to be afforded even a moment of peace, however, as his adviser Abe no Seimei hailed him on the mental network almost immediately after. She'd finished scouting a priestess for their new shrine to Ōkuninushi. Their most promising candidate was waiting on Aotsuki's pleasure back in Ōtsu Castle. Or, if he so wished, Seimei could take care of it herself. There was some business going on with a mission to the Dreamlands (again?). Perhaps attending to this newcomer himself would give Aotsuki time to decide who he wanted to dispatch on that.
