Four Winds Lake
Located in the heart of the Rheuthengage Mountains, north of Lake Ghendra and divided from it by some of the ranges tallest mountains, Four Winds Lake has seen few visitors despite its relative proximity to both the Kingdom of Galencia and Underground Kingdom of the Children of Kharl. The towering mountains, forever capped in snow, shrouded in clouds, and battered by winds, prevent all but the most experienced and foolhardy mountaineers from making the trek to the lake overland while and underground chasm, nearly a league across, blocks underground tunnels to it from the east, making direct access impossible.
Those few that have made the trek, however, have found a lake of pristine beauty. Sunk into the mountains, its shorelines striated cliffs in a range of blues, browns, and greens nearly five hundred feet tall, it holds a deep reservoir of cobalt blue water. With mountain walls surrounding the lake so high that most birds cannot even fly over them, an eerie silence fills the air, the only noises the lapping of water upon the cliff walls. What creatures and mysteries might lurk beneath the dark waters, no one can say.
