Lake Ghendra
Located in a wide valley that stretches for leagues on either side, this lake is shallow and, like the valley, full of small rocky islands. Given its depth the lake expands greatly in the spring as snowmelt and rain swell its shores before the outflow of the Kragen River lowers its levels again in the drier, summer months. By early autumn the temperature of its waters drops, first freezing around the edges at night until by the middle of the Crimson Moon it freezes across.
With its eastern shore generally considered the border between Galencia and the Underground Kingdom, its shores present a stark contrast in both use and appearance. To the east, low stone buildings have housed Khadric farmers while to the west the rambling mining settlement of Ghendra ebbs and flows as new veins of ore are discovered and mined dry.
