Extraordinary Dragons
Extraordinary dragons are intelligent and sapient winged retpiles which have an innate and often powerful connection to the magic of the world, and the ability to use it with precision, as well as the ability to alter the world around them to suit their needs or desires far beyond what lesser dragons may do. While many Prosaic Dragons have draconic blood, true Extraordinary Dragons fall into one of four broad categories; chromatic, metallic, or gem dragons, each of which are categorized by the appearance of their scales and general personalities, or a-typical dragons, which are more intelligent and magically inclined than Prosaic Dragons, though do not fit into one of the other categories.
