Draconic Basilisk
The draconic basilisk is a much-disputed species amongst modern dragonologists. Some believe that it is not a dragon at all, others that it is a pseudo-dragon with abilities similar to changelings in that they have the ability to mimic the appearance of smaller Prosaic Dragons similar to how changelings can mimic or copy the appearance of various humanoids and other similar species. Some dragonologists consider the draconic basilisk to be a mythical creature, existing only in tales and folklore.

Biological Traits
These lesser dragons have the ability to shape-shift into the form of other dragons. This, coupled with the fact that they have the most venomous bite of any dragon (and one for which their is no known antidote), means that very few descriptions of them exist, and those that do are entirely contradictory.
