Statue of King Castamir of Gondor
The Statue of King Castamir of Gondor is an ancient structure, built in TA 1438 as a statement of the support of the area for that usurper. (n.b. At the time the current village didn't exist, and it was just a statue on a plinth by The Street.)
The statue has not fared well. The sword has been stolen and the face has been smashed.
Purpose / Function
Originally an over-the-top declaration of loyalty by the residents of the region to the new King of Gondor, the statue has lost it's significance over the years. It is now the place where those seeking day-labour congregate.
