Ringwork, Manor House, Count's Yardham

The Ringwork is standing on a mound some 15 paces above the level of the surrounding land and some 60 paces across at the top. The walls are used to support a series of internal structures including a kitchen, hall, stores, well and domestic accomodation. All is accessed via a door from a steep stair that is overlooked by various defences. The whole is surmounted by a thin watchtower that peaks at 40 paces above the level of the moat.

The centre of the Ringwork is a small courtyard - in the centre of which stands a stone, twice the height of an Elf and inscribed in Pukel-Runes. This ancient menhir is visited annually by two wild and unusual people (the two that appear vary each time) at which time a bowl of fruit is left at the foot of the stone. (These fruit are inevitably eaten by birds or small children - neither outcome seems to have an adverse effect). It is rumoured that the stone, with its strange visitors, brings the Manor House good fortune, and no Count of Herrir has seen fit to test that belief by excluding them.

Architecture

The original structure was a wooden palisade and few wooden buildings - but these have been slowly upgraded to stone over the years. The walls are of Dwarven construction, and the interior structures of varying periods, style and quality.

The domestic range contains a Solar where Elorian, the lady of the house produces fine embroidery and Latherial can read his manuscripts and ledgers.
