Galdrin Coast
The Galdrin Coast stretches along the southeastern shores of Teros Major, where jagged cliffs meet the stormy, unforgiving waters of the Sarran Sea. This windswept region remains unsettled by the people of Teros, with its harsh climate and dangerous wildlife ensuring that only the most daring venture here. Towering cliffs, rocky beaches, and the constant roar of the sea create a foreboding atmosphere that keeps people at bay.
The vegetation of the Galdrin Coast is sparse, shaped by the salty air and powerful winds. Hardy plants like Lombora, a grassy herb, cling to the rocky cliffs, their deep roots holding them in place against the relentless gusts. Silverhorn conifers, twisted and weathered by the harsh conditions, form small groves in the sheltered crevices of the cliffs, providing rare pockets of greenery in the otherwise barren landscape. On the lower slopes, Pirthingallam moss covers damp, shaded rocks, thriving in the cool, moist environment created by sea spray and frequent mist.
Despite the inhospitable terrain, the Galdrin Coast is not devoid of life. The Rhakkor, a massive and territorial predator, roams the rocky cliffs, hunting anything that dares stray too close to its lair. These fearsome creatures, with their thick hides and powerful limbs, have long been a deterrent to settlement in the region. In addition to the Rhakkor, the deep coastal waters are home to Reestlash, a monstrous predator of the sea. With its massive jaws and formidable size, the Reestlash is known to attack boats that venture too near, further isolating the coast from human contact.
The cold, turbulent waters of the Galdrin Coast are also home to hardy fish species like the Kiddri, a slow-moving, plankton-feeding giant of the deep. Although peaceful, the Kiddri's size and the dangerous waters it inhabits make fishing for it a perilous task. Other sea creatures like the Nechlin glide through the deeper, calmer areas of the coastal sea, though they too are elusive and rarely caught.
The wild beauty of the Galdrin Coast is undeniable, with its dramatic cliffs, windswept plains, and untamed seas. Yet, for all its natural grandeur, it remains an untamed, dangerous land where monsters of the deep and the wild roam free. Those who venture too far into this desolate coastline do so at their own peril, as the predators and the unpredictable sea ensure that the Galdrin Coast remains a land few dare to challenge.
