The party is given an audience with Emperor Calus to ask questions and receive their rewards for assisting him. Calus concludes the meeting by offering membership in his Shadow organization, which two members of the Fireteam accept, and by inviting the party further on a tour of the mighty ship.
Fireteam Crescendo participates in a Cabal ritual in the Castellum, as a welcome to the Leviathan and a start of their tour.
The fireteam attempts Calus' Gauntlet competition but fails to impress him with their sub-par athleticism.
Visiting Calus' greenhouse, Fireteam Crescendo is put into perilous circumstances when the Emperor's war beasts break free of their handlers. The group works together to stealthily tackle the problem and deter the beasts without violence. This greatly pleased the Cabal emperor.
After the mishap with his pets, Calus offers to pivot the tour and allow the fireteam to relax in his Royal Baths. The Lightbearers take time to bathe, unwind in the warmth, and take part in a friendly competition with the Cabal Loyalists.
Fireteam Crescendo squares off against Emperor Calus in his throne room as a final test of their strength, and a final bargaining chip from the Emperor to attempt to persuade the undecided Lightbearers with a glimpse of his power.

The fireteam stops to humor an old man claiming to sell magic beans on the side of the road. After trading small amounts of glimmer and other miscellaneous items for the beans, the party consumes them. The beans granted them real proficiency bonuses in menial skills such as plumbing and calligraphy.
The party pauses on their trip to pay respects at the roadside grave of a deceased child. "Mellina Gertrudsdottr - b 3491 d 3500 - gone before her time to black lung"
Fireteam Crescendo's late-night rest is interrupted by a strange green glow on the horizon. Investigating the source, the party finds a group of humans performing a ritual around a pond. When interrupted, the humans are consumed by Taken energy, and a pair of powerful Taken appear to attack the party.
Infiltrating the Firebase, the party takes down a perimeter guard and sneaks into a computer room to steal Red Legion intel.
Frontline Azure holds an all-hands meeting for their members. Ernesto attends, making him absent from the party's activities for the morning. The meeting covered engagement statistics from the year and publishing schedules through the Dawning holiday. The meeting was co-hosted by the clan leader, a Hunter named Artemis-5, and a Lightless person named Hideo, who said he was one of the clan's benefactors.
Fireteam Crescendo arrives in The Gulch to find the Red Legion mining operation in the area is already under siege by Fallen pirates. Fighting both the Cabal and the Fallen, the fireteam enters the mines and sneaks to their objective.
Fireteam Crescendo fights the Cabal for control of the Volundr Forge. After successfully securing the forge and experimenting with it, the Fallen pirates swoop in and steal the technology from under their feet.
A Lightless family passes by Fireteam Crescendo's campsite late at night. Ernesto and Zelle greet them and help escort them to a nearby village.
The fireteam is delayed by a piece of debris on the road. This is revealed to be a box, and inside the box is an Ahamkara bone. Judge takes the box for safekeeping.
A Hunter accidentally falls to his death outside the fireteam's camp. He is embarrassed by this and tries to laugh it off as a joke. Zelle gives him the nickname "Splatty-Boy" before he takes his leave.
The fireteam finds a shack-house inside a protective energy barrier. Without any snow inside, a lush garden grows. The tenant angrily tells the party to leave.
With the help of Devrim Kay and Amanda Holliday, the fireteam is able to take jumpships back to the Tower, saving them the need to travel overland for several more days.
The fireteam returns to the Tower and speaks with Ada-1 regarding their findings at the forge site. She explains further her reasoning for pursuing the forges so aggressively and asks them for further assistance in locating any other forges that may still be free from Fallen control.
