Character |
Interaction |
Emperor Calus |
The Emperor showed the party several aspects of himself. First, his psionic potential in the Mind Prison with not only his projected form but also his will to capture them there in the first place. Second, he showed them how they can grow their own power beyond the capabilities of the Light alone by empowering them with psionic energy to defeat him. Finally, his nature as an automaton was revealed in his defeat, and he used the opportunity to speak the lessons he attempted to convey upon them before giving them gifts and telling them to leave. |
Bahr'Toran |
Bentley approached Bahr'Toran with questions regarding his ability to ask Emperor Calus for favors. Bahr'Toran explained that Emperor Calus was happy to do favors for his Shadows that satisfy him, and if he wished to get something back he would first need to secure Calus' good graces as Judge had over several years of service. |
Ikora Rey |
Judge took a moment to speak with Ikora Rey regarding his position as Bentley's mentor. He felt as though he was not the one best suited for the role, to which Ikora admitted she may have miscalculated the type of mentorship Bentley required when assigning him to Judge. Regardless, Ikora assured Judge that this was not a reflection on him as a Guardian and more a circumstantial anomaly. She let him know that he needn't see himself as an appointed mentor any longer, rather a peer to Bently with the young Warlock's best interests at heart. |

Content |
Ari |
Ari had a fairly quiet session, but her player was using this session as an opportunity to fit back into the character's skin more than trying to push her own character narrative. This was successful, with the player feeling she was able to re-find her pocket in Ari's characterization. Opportunities for growth will arise in upcoming sessions |
Bentley |
After the events of this long and exhausting day, Bentley ended the session completely exhausted both physically and mentally. He had an emotional conversation with Ernesto about the incidents of the day, and confided that large portions of time throughout the day were absent from his memory. Ernesto consoled Bentley that despite the anxiety he felt about the aftermath of these dissociative episodes, the feelings Bentley had regarding the fireteam's treatment of him were misguided. Ernesto did his best to impart to Bentley that not only did he himself care deeply for Bentley, but the rest of the fireteam cared as well, especially Judge. Even if they express it poorly, there is a comradery between them all now that goes beyond a working relationship. |
Cloak |
Cloak had a quiet session but was able to express his discomfort and confusion in the aftermath of the battle with Calus. He did accept Calus' gifts, but did not hold onto the Shadow medallion. |
Ernesto |
Ernesto seemed satisfied with his experience with Calus and has now become part of Calus' charge. This is the second organization he has willingly joined, being both a member of the Frontline Azure clan and now a Shadow of Calus. He posted a photo of Calus' destroyed automaton on VanNet. |
Judge |
Judge showed a bit of his humanity through an angry outburst at Emperor Calus, to the great enjoyment of Zelle and Ari. The events of the day with Bentley and the experience with Calus had worn down his resolve to a boiling point. After returning to the Tower and speaking with Ikora, Judge left and quickly went to take a shower in a nearby hotel. |
Zelle |
Zelle adopted the psionic power of Calus' throne room quickly, and used it to great effect. This surge in strength left her, for lack of a better term, jonesing for another fix. She used her Shadow medallion reward as an opportunity to boast to The Drifter of her achievements and ask if he knew how to get more of this "extracurricular" strength. The Drifter reiterated his desire to further research Umbral energy. |
