Session 12
General Summary
Diving deeper into The Conflux, the party battles Calus' defectors and ultimately takes down the Colossus Cal'aug. Using the key card looted from Cal'aug's body, the party opens a small cubby within the Conflux that contained the Loyalty Artifact. The party returned to Werner at the barge and were offered lodging for the night.
Cloak spoke with Ari regarding his appreciation for her aggressive combat style, and hopes that they can collaborate more in the future. Zelle and Judge had a moment alone wherein Zelle expressed some apprehension for their current path of investigating her book. Judge assured her that this quest was more for his gain than hers, and the circumstantial connection can be ended once they've met with Calus if that is what Zelle desires.
That morning, Emperor Calus seized control of Werner to inform Judge that his landing crew have disappointed him having failed to return in a timely fashion. At the Emperor's call, Judge rouses his companions and they strike out after the landing crew. The Glade of Echoes process to be the site of a battle, and following the trail of destruction the party returns to The Cistern.
They find one of Calus' Colossus gravely injured near a Vex conflux, and he informs the party that more of the landing crew was able to push ahead but the Vex sealed off the avenues of pursuit. Fighting through the Vex and hacking the conflux with cunning maneuvers, Ari and Cloak open up a channel through which the party was able to set up an advance in pursuit of the artifact.
The session ended as the last Vex was slain, and everybody paused to catch their breath.
