Session 23
General Summary
Ernesto took his leave of the party to attend to something for his clan, Frontline Azure (the membership contract he signed mandated his attendance). The rest of the party rendezvoused in The Gulch, where their progress towards their destination was impeded by an unexpected Fallen raiding party also assaulting the mining operation. After a sneak attack on the Fallen leader forced him to retreat, a three-way battle between Guardians, Fallen, and Cabal ensued. The fireteam emerged victorious and entered the mining tunnels in search of Site B5 mentioned in the intel you discovered at Firebase Hades.
The group stealthily navigated the tunnels and construction complex inside, eventually finding the B Wing and heading that way. The tunnels led to a large open excavation site where a large number of Cabal were working around a massive machine the likes of which none of you had ever seen before. Navigating the dangerous terrain leading to the site, the fireteam found a large crate of some kind that contained some mechanical devices and a mysterious metal cube with four locks. While debating the next course of action, the Cabal leader at the site activated the large machine and procured from it a weapon he called the "Firespitter", proclaiming that with this item the Red Legion's glory will be found once more.
