Session 20
General Summary
After resting, Fireteam Crescendo tends to necessary affairs in the Tower. Bentley takes time to speak to Ikora, who does her best to convey her experience with Destructive Void to the troubled New Light. Bentley, less than receptive, wanders late into the night stewing in his troubles.
After all of them have taken the time to rest, the six Guardians meet together in the Tower to discuss activities that they could pursue together. With no Vanguard assignments on the table, the group settles on following a lead Bentley had received regarding a pre-Collapse weapons manufacturer called the Black Armory. Ada-1, who claims to be the last remaining member of this organization. She laments the loss of her forebears' "forges" to the Collapse, wishing that they could be returned and her organization could be returned to its former glory.
From a small bit of preliminary research, Bentley uncovered a lack of information regarding the Black Armory in the Cryptarchy Archives. What he did find were rumors that a potential forge site had been scouted out in an area of the European Dead Zone that had been occupied by Red Legion during the Red War. With these rumors and imagery from a vision he had in his sleep, Bentley sets his sights on the EDZ to find this Red Legion stronghold.
The party spends the remainder of that day gathering wilderness survival supplies at Cloak and Judge's suggestion, as traveling the EDZ outside of The Farm or the established landing zone in Trostland would mean traversing over land. Once bedrolls and tents were procured, the fireteam saw that the Tower had become illuminated with the celebratory decorations of The Dawning. Cloak invited the party to The Farm for the evening, to enjoy the holiday with people he knew well and would welcome him in the festivities.
The following morning, Fireteam Crescendo makes the short low-orbit flight to the Trostland landing zone, where they meet with Devrim Kay of the City Militia in his cathedral-turned-outpost. The surveyor seemed disgruntled but provided Crescendo with a scouted map of major landmarks collected through the past few years. Much to Bentley's pleasure, the map included mention of a Cabal base roughly 4-days' travel from Trostland named Firebase Hades. Both this name, as well as its location on the shore of a lake, aligned with key details of his vision. The party took a moment to collect themselves before embarking on their journey.

Ikora Rey | Bentley spoke with Ikora regarding his relationship with the Light. Ikora attempted to explain to Bentley how he could find control over his emotions and tame the Light, but Bentley's emotional state did not receive the metaphors Ikora used well. Bentley exited the conversation more confused and hurt than Ikora had intended. |
Devrim Kay | Devrim nearly shot Cloak from his belltower upon the party's arrival in Trostland. When approached by Bentley, Devrim seemed impatient and cranky. He helped the party by providing a map, but kept inserting frustrated comments about the state of his outpost throughout. |
