Noverok
Noverok is a trade town and fortress located in eastern Hepsut, situated at the mouth of the Molduhr River, and at the northern base of the Khagh Mountains. A majority of the town's population are Dwarves.
Noverok is under the jurisdiction of the Triumvirate of Kahz Molduhr, and is the only naval port in the nation, with all naval trade between the Triumvirate and the rest of the world forced to go through the harbour of Noverok. All foreign ships are barred from sailing up the Molduhr River to Kahz Molduhr, forcing traders to sell their wares in Noverok, with the locals responsible for shipping the goods to the capital and the other settlements in the region.
Most of the Triumvirate's trade vessels that travel from Noverok are owned by Ætt Morgothal, one of the three houses that make up the Triumvirate. Ætt Morgothal also owns much of the town's shops and housing, which are rented to the local workers.
The Noverok harbour also houses the Triumvirate's navy, a small fleet of warships that are often seen combating local pirates.
Government
Noverok is governed by a Governor, who is appointed by the Triumvirate of Kahz Molduhr, particularly the king of Ætt Morgothal, who employs most of the local traders and owns much of the town.
Defence
Noverok is defended by a garrison of Triumvirate Guard, the local guard of the Triumvirate of Kahz Molduhr.
Commerce
Noverok the primary trade port of the Triumvirate of Kahz Molduhr, with a continuous flow of goods passing through it's harbour, before it is shipped to the rest of the nation. Many markets can be found in the town, as well as a few taverns, inns and other amenities, which cater to the sailors and traders that pass through the town.
Noverok also has a small fishing trade, cultivating the Molduhr River and the nearby ocean, as well as having a small agricultural trade of crops and animal products, cultivated from a small stretch of farmland located across the river from the town.
Geography
Noverok is a trade town and fortress that overlooks the mouth of the Molduhr River. It is situated on the southern banks of the river, as well as bordering the sea to the east, and the base of the Khagh Mountains to the south. On the northern banks of the Molduhr River is the town's local farmland and farmsteads.
Noverok is located within a thick, stone wall, lined with battlements, which surround numerous, small, stone terrace houses, all uniform in a grid. In the east of town's you can find most of the local shops, amenities and businesses, as well as a large market, filled with colourful stalls selling their wares. Passed the market, and outside the town walls, is a sizable harbour on the seafront, at which are moored numerous trade ships, fishing vessels, as well as the warships of the Triumvirate navy.
Noverok is also a fortress, with a large, stone bridge lying over the Molduhr River, with four battlements lining it's walls. From the bridge descends an iron portcullis, which lies submerged in the river's waters, preventing vessels from traveling upstream. The portcullis is only risen for vessels given authorisation by the Govenor of Noverok.
