Celesvena

A Celesvena is an icon and literal object that represents--or in some opinions, actually is--the divine essence from Celestium housed within the body of an Eah. It has multiple parts to it, explained below.
  • Celesvena. The term for the entire collection, which resembles a network of veins that converge at nodes called Celesvenum, with a single primary node somewhere in the upper middle section. It is believed that the overall shape of a Celesvena becomes a constellation when its bearer resides in their proper place in the Monumidium. Some believe the Celesvena is the true source of power and presence of an Eah.
  • Magnus Celesvenum. The primary node, mind, and life core of an Eah, without which the Eah cannot survive. Its power is said to be greater than all the other nodes combined. It has the longest veins. When this node dies, the Eah dies too.
  • Celesvenum. A lesser node. Eah commonly create Runar by removing a Celesvenum and giving it its own body, permanently losing a part of themselves. It has its own veins, but not as many as the Magnus Celesvenum.
  • Lux Vena. The veins that trail from and connect the nodes together. They cannot be detached from a single node, and they tend to retain the shape they had when they were part of a Celesvena if removed. The veins shine with divine light and often extend beyond the physical limits of an Eah's body, especially when they are exerting their authority.
Even though an Eah's Celesvena can be separated into all its nodes after the death of the Eah, the veins themselves cannot be directly destroyed, though the nodes can be drained of their celestial energy over time and shrivel. It is generally believed that the severing process can be done as many times as there are nodes, meaning that an Eah can only create as many Runar as they have Celesvenum to spare. The nodes are so bright and powerful that they shine through the body of an Eah, resembling swirling stars.   The number of Celesvenum varies from Eah to Eah, and although there are no modern records of entire Celesvena being observed, it is generally believed that each Eah has the following arrangements: Fallasar had six lesser nodes, Hrememun had four or five lesser nodes, Yihyaphem had three lesser nodes, and Ashurnuq, Cuuhuina, and Mirvahadh all had two lesser nodes each.   Each of Fallasar's lesser nodes became a Runar, and his primary node perished with him. The six Runar are: Aasesh, whose power is now in the Dulgars; Zhezel and Faeer; Bbatlam, whose power is in the Reas; and Thoh'ekh, who still lives. Ashurnuq's nodes went to Umaruq who was killed by Ahegaalwa, and Torohnuq, whose power went to the Cults of Torohnuq. Hrememun's Celesvenum were found and claimed by Arshanak. Cuuhuina's nodes went to Alaiea, who sacrificed herself to bring about the seasonal age, and Halamera, who was killed by the Damanzur. Yihyaphem put a node in both Abdemn, who took their own life and whose node now belongs to the Ebtarrais, and Wchaxemn, whose node is believed to be the heart of Wchaxemn that the Fingers of Mshunnichu want. The whereabouts of the Celesvenum of Mirvahadh are unknown. So, of all the Celesvenum on Ebdypha, only the location of eight or nine are somewhat known (depending on how many Hrememun had), which leaves another ten or so which are lost to time.
