Halamera

Halamera was a Runar of Cuuhuina.

After Cuuhuina died during the Enlightenment, the Runar Alaiea and Halamera wanted to leave the Sunken Forest. Halamera took her followers, the Arizathrans, southward, and they lived on islands and studied the creations of Cuuhuina.

The Arizathrans explored magic over the ages, and with the help of Halamera, they gained possession of a piece of Asterite and used it to lift their islands out of the sea and suspend them in the sky. A particular school of scholars known as the Damanzur found the secret to eternal life, for they wanted to surpass death, and they slew the Runar Halamera in his sleep. They performed magic on his Celesvenum and made themselves immortal, but the death of Halamera upset the equilibrium of the floating islands. Not wanting their civilisation to fall, the other Arizathrans sent the Damanzur island of Caharkor away, casting it down upon the earth. It isn't known exactly how, but this island eventually came to land near the Ghul, and the Damanzur saw these people on the brink of life and death. One Damanzur called Arshanak found Hrememun's Celesvena, and began to create an army from the Ghul.
