Arshanak

Arshanak is the ruler of the Damanzur and was the one to discover the Celesvena of Hrememun after he and the Damazur were exiled for slaying Halamera and also stealing his Celesvenum. He is a Sagacian of the Arizathrans, who went southward after Cuuhuina died, shortly after they began to live on floating islands and study the creations of Cuuhuina.

A particular school of scholars known as the Damanzur found the secret to eternal life, and they slew the Runar Halamera in his sleep. They performed magic on his Celesvenum and made themselves immortal, but the death of Halamera upset the equilibrium of the floating islands. Not wanting their civilisation to fall, the other Arizathrans sent the Damanzur island of Caharkor away, casting it down upon the earth. It isn't known exactly how, but this island eventually came to land near the Ghul.

Arshanak desired to lift the island of Caharkor into the skies once more and have it travel back to the Arizathrans, where he planned on getting vengeance on those who sent the island away initially. However, he failed to do so quickly enough, and he outlived his exilers. Harnessing the power of Hrememun's and Halamera's remains that he had access to, he placed a curse on all who relied on the power of Halamera for longevity to become immortal, but to do so in a body of stone. So these Arizathrans, known as Sagacians, would now become petrified over time, rather than becoming conquered by death and rotting as mortals do.

Afterward, Caharkor was transformed into a fortress among the Thousand Towers, and Arshanak began to form an army from the Ghul, after which he would wage war on mortals.
