Asterite

Asterite is an extremely rare material. It comes from Astrium, and therefore contains pure void energy, which isn't well understood. It is believed that there are fewer than ten pieces of asterite on Ebdypha. Aside from the piece that Yihyaphem stole before he and five other Eah were exiled from the Monumidium, all asterite fell to the land during the breaking of the Firmament that occurred during the Enlightenment.

The most notable pieces of asterite are the one possessed by Yihyaphem which causes the Unending Dun, the one that fell among the Juhsen Ranges below Monia, the one that fell upon Mount Uchioku, and the one that fell among the early Arizathrans and helped them raise their islands out of the sea.

It is an essential component of Vitation Magic, but unlike with Visite Comprimers, asterite is not consumed or spent by the magic; rather, those who are trained in Asterite-Vitation are remotely lent power by the asterite they have established a connection with.
