Monia

The Land of Monia is located above the Juhsen Ranges and is considered sacred by the various branches of the Monic Order. Monia is similar to the floating islands of the Arizathrans, but there are several key differences. The first is that Monia fell from above and has paused its descent, rather than being lifted from Ebdypha. The second is that it is far larger; it is long enough that it would take half a day of walking from end to end, if the terrain was fairly flat. The third is that it is much higher in the sky, usually sitting above most clouds.
Monia is shaped like an enormous reddish-grey boulder with a slight sheen to it. Aside from the rocky texture, it seems entirely featureless. Due to its great height nobody can set foot on Monia, though it is rumoured that the most esteemed members of the Monic Order have done so.
It is told that Monia came to rest in its current place sometime shortly after the Enlightenment, around the time a piece of Asterite fell in the same region, though there are no reliable firsthand accounts of this event. Whatever the case, due to it being situated above jagged mountains, it is believed that its descent was a very slow one.
