With All Due Speed

"With All Due Speed" is an extra for Eclipse

Cover of Eclipse, with a man and woman wearing academic robes in silhouette on a twilight blue and sunset orange background. She is gesturing up toward the sky. A telescope is inset in the top left.

"With All Due Speed" is an extra of about 20k words, covering the period from when Thesan Wain and Isembard Fortier begin discussing an actual engagement through to their wedding (the summer of 1925 through late December 1925), following the events of Eclipse

Why this story?

First, I love both these characters, and more time with them is great. However, I wanted to figure out some more of the dynamics between Livia and Garin for something else I was writing, and the scene where Thesan has dinner with them, Isembard, and Alexander was very helpful for that. I was also curious about a passing reference Isembard made at one point to Thesan's father having given him advice about marriage, and how exactly that went.
