Session 6.5

Rest for me is finally here. I got to enjoy time of starting to decorate the small home space I will grow here as I need it. This is the quiet decompression time I needed to calm myself and find myself again. I will hang my tent to cover a wall, so it has some sense of difference to start. Then after resting a short bit and talking to Sagir I have my priorities in place. So will get that done before I have to face the Bringing of Misfortune and her tying it to me to get here as well.

Partly through what I was hoping to finish then called into one of those office spaces again. Sitting there is Yondali, 2 old elves, and an Ignos. The oldest looking elf, Nual'sha, is missing an eye and keeps a porcupine with him. The other elf is a talkative and personal space issued woman named Jana who has a very proud Cheetah with her. The Ignos is very quick to open and talk planner named Ignacio. We talk of having to form a nation out of some space between 3 countries. Everyone talks of the other nations, but no one talks of the people we have to get to follow us and be different. There is mention of making a false king to make a claim to power but give the king no power. Then talk of other things but the people. Once I hear a second to discuss I mention need culture. That portion is lost. So far it seems that Nual’sha wants to be in charge of things in woods and no people. The Jana woman they claim will be a Diplomat for them as she talks. Ignacio wants to be more directly ruling like a king it seems through another. After a long discussion that I am lost about it is determined we will solidify under 2 languages Sprache and Old Lingue since those are the 2 most prominent languages already. I am sorta amazed that I was listened to here and no one was…short worded towards me.
 
We then separate to meet over the week and learn and train to help get ready. When I first meet Yondali it is a bit terse as she like Zahra is not great at communicating with me. Her language choice is different and closed. But after leaving the office to see her home and husband. He tried very much to make normal foods like farrow salad, stuffed leaves, hummus. and fruits. After we discuss issues and finding out I have to now work my mind more than my body I try to repay for the gift of a meal. Yondali after showing I will try to understand her culture better refused to understand mine at the start. Then I explain she called what she did home and I called doing this home. Which proved my point and she relented to allow me to repay using my mouth skills and body skills to entertain her and her husband so we all left on a good feel.
 
I arrange to have different tutors work with me part of the day, along with Sagir as well. This way I can travel some, sleep, and live too. Sagir’s trainers I hope will not be too bad for him at the Houndskeeper. He seemed to like the teachers there even when they were stern. Though I am no certain he cared for Janel, I think is her name. She said that she was mean so when she showed food and animals that were safe to eat she just ate them instead of paying attention.
 
My training was a bit different. My language tutors, Clotilda (human) and Arlo (dwarf), at The Guilded Word (a scribe guild and library) were very direct. I did not get a chance to ask questions and expected to just understand. Though the scribe (Morela) that taught me to better read and write skills was much better. She helped to make certain I am better with writing and reading my thoughts and others. She also made certain my marks became quite clear to others for reading.
 
I also enjoyed my time when I got to learn at the Respreasle Magicians Guild. I am glad the discomfort maker was not there when I was, she is a bit… direct like Catalina was on our first meeting but pushed on further. Here I got a wonderous teacher Carey to show me how to heal wounds on my own. Then there was Carlow who I am certain is well versed in his craft of general sorcery but I was too distracted at the time to his words. Due to that issue I was sent to work with Erin who made certain I could better fine tune my focus on spells and moving from point to point. Though when she taught about focus she seemed to always brush close to my ear and talk quietly so I had to really pay attention to what she said. The last tutor from the guild was Herne. He made certain I could understand, would keep his space, talk slow and answer my questions. He promised when done I would be better no matter how small at all my magic.
 
I then went to one of the local Minstrel and Entertainers Guilds, Formata. There I worked along side someone who I think I offended. Her name was Ellistra. She seemed to enjoy my work ethic when I focused but I was unable to praise her for her famed work. I have no clue who she is other than a singer, dancer, and acrobatic silk spinner. After that Valwin, some assistant that does some weird thrown item and side performances, had me try to move around and tumble while trying to hit me but also keeping a beat. This place looks like it will be interesting and some of the performers I bet would make a great evening side entertainment to see.
 
Finally, I ended up at Silver Oaks Consortium. I had to sit in with a Nuwen professor that had me call him Sir as I could not pronounce his name. This was fine as he was about twice my size and a bit terrifying, he always licked his teeth and lips when mentioning certain animals. I think he has a thing for equine related animals. I also had the weirdest professor, Yarala, there. She was about 3’8” and had wings and feathers along with bird feet but a human looking face and body otherwise. She helped to get me to better create the images I pictured on paper. After that I was told to see one of their theologian teachers, an old hydros named Doona MacCorlet. She walks the path of the Lost Sister and it was similar in feel to my home when I was alive. We talked some and she helped to explain some of the weird ways people interact when they are lost on their journey. She kindly explained that I seem to be lost now due to never completing mine when I lived. She warned that I need to let go and embrace life and change with the lands or else I will get to be old and hard so much no one wants to be around me. She did mention that I have potential and could see me doing well as an entertainer or wizard. I think being able to talk to her more than Yondali is helpful. I also hope I will get the chance to talk to my family here as well since I know where many are staying now.
