City of Glaion
Overview
Glaion is the trading center of the south western region of the greater kingdom. This region was also named after the city itself. It is currently under the rule of The Baron Lucas Berthelot. He prizes his city to be prosperous, culturally diverse, and religiously diverse. He tends to focus on the economy of the region before the needs of his people, though this does not stop him from being a benevolent philanthropist for the city. He doles out massive amounts of personal wealth to help the city, and to keep the order. He has a private standing army, independent of the regional federation between Mhzult and The City of Huron.Culture
The city is culturally diverse, full of far eastern influence and Mhzult gnomish pragmatism. The melting pot is governed by Lucas' Chancellor, who oversees the execution of the law. He demands that the cultures leave their differences at the city gates, and conflict is not permitted inside the city without all parties involved being punished and fined. While it may be a heavy handed system, some would say, it has been effective. The differing cultures do not squabble inside the city, as the punishment is not worth the time. Thus the city has developed a culture civility, and graciousness.Notable Locations
