Ruins of Vilcreath

The Great Tree
Entire mainland Continent

Purpose / Function

Currently, its purpose is entirely known, the old Namouxian structures tended to be alien to modern construction. Their layouts seem to prefer seamlessly blending into their environments and emphasizing defense above all else. Many being connected to each other through tunnel systems or having various inert portal structures inside them. Though, largely, the extent to which these ruins are connected is lost to us. Tunnels being caved in and far too dangerous to excavate, to these portal structures that defy all known laws of arcane understanding.   Though in modern times after the archeological team from the Wayfare Guild had abandoned the ruins, the Goblins of the Skullbrood Clan had taken an interest in the location. It became a more or less a playground for the children to explore, with many of the inner passageways having caved in over the Eons, it was a harmless place for them to play.

Architecture

Much of the original architecture has eroded away, though it is evident that nearly every surface was covered in deeply carved rune structures in fractile patterns. They were also fond of building in massive stone-like material; it should be noted that it is stone-like as there is no naturally occurring stone on the Continent that matches it's properties. There has never been any sort of joinery found in their structures either, presumably been built to be airtight for some reason. Skjalich being the most intact example of Namouxian building plans.   Massive extensive structures that featured tall columns and vaulted ceilings. As if they built everything to be on the same level of grandeur as Cathedrals. What was unknown to modern societies as they are now, until The Forgemaster had rediscovered a certain technology, it was unknown to what this next feature was. Nearly every Namouxian ruin is home to vast amounts of metals and precious metals, not because they hoarded great troves of wealth, but they had extensive communications systems and electric grids. Should one feel inclined, fishing out the silver wire and gold transition points, would make one wealthy beyond belief. Though many of these ruins are protected by the Kingdoms they sit upon, rare exceptions are made.
