Majestet (a.k.a. The End Song, The Doom Beat, The Drum of War, The Bluejay, Silence's End, Branch Walker)
Physical Description
Special abilities
Gjorn, the Bluejay, is one of the few Dwarves with an affinity to the Domain of Air. Anything pertaining to sound, Gjorn is able to manipulate. He had knocked a gate house down by strumming a lute softly, but matched the stones frequency so that the mortar holding the stones together crumbled away. He had also been able to enthrall a dragon by singing the beast to sleep, that same dragon is still sleeping since the event took place nearly 15 years ago. Some speculate that the beast may never wake, though this isn’t exactly an issue, as the serpent had been terrorizing the mountainside residents for years. He is given great caution in any royal court, and not typically allowed to speak by both Gherdalh and Halgier as they don’t want the court to suspect Gjorn of influencing decisions by using his magic.
He is widely known throughout most of the continent. The Bluejay evokes many different reactions throughout the cultures he interacts with, for example; in the Caliphate he is known as The EndSong. This is mostly due to his propensity to hum songs while fighting, apparently just loud enough to tell he is doing so over the din of battle. But, the most important thing about the Caliphate aspect of him, is that they are terrified of him.
He has casually strolled through battlefields, weaving his magic into his songs to calm entire companies, or to route battalions with mass hysteria. His voice is his weapon, he was fond of turning armies on themselves. Within the Caliphate he is treated with the highest level of caution and misgiving. His command as one of the Four kings also gives him all the same rights as any actual king that walks through foreign lands.
There has been much speculation on the actual nature of Gjorn’s magic as well. Many questions emerge as to how can do the things he does. He has been seen knocking down mountain sides with sound alone. Though notably, not with the strength of the sound, for his songs are never actually loud. He has been seen calming storm clad seas, enthralling armies of living subjects. He has been seen conversing with spirits, and going toe to toe with opponents utilizing Archon Stones . (though this has spawned much more speculation, as he becomes irreparably enraged when his opponents do this. He has been documented to be furious for weeks after he has beaten these casters. Though has never given a reason beyond “The blood of the fallen” in his own words.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
He has a few pieces of history about him that not even the three other kings can explain, despite being very familiar with the figure. The first being is they know he didn’t used to have such power. He was born an ordinary Dwarf with no exceptional talent for magic, only a propensity for music. In his early twenties he had disappeared from the Mhuzelti Companyfor a few years, and returned with an immeasurable talent for tonal magics. He claims to have been bound to an ancient power to not speak of it. All he lets on is that he was given the power “with a promise to beckon an unknown call at an unknown time from an unknown entity.” He usually says the exact same statement with a smirk.
One of the other things that the three other kings can’t explain is where exactly he came from. They always seem to have a vague memory of the Bluejay being born on Mhuzelt, but never remembering who or where his parents were, though nearly everyone can remember the King he was born the son of, his name is lost. As a side note, he is also known as the Doom Beat on Mhuzelt for many of the same reasons as the Caliphate does. He has been an instrument of war for many of the Mhuzelti Company’s long history.
The last thing that isn’t widely known or even has a clear explanation to anyone except the Bluejay, is that no one knows where he goes when he disappears occasionally. Some think he is wandering different branches of the Great Tree, some think he slips away in time. Though with his ability for tonal magic, this doesn’t quite seem to fit. Though if you ask the Bluejay, he will tell you that “Sound plays a unique role in our world. The tree was created with the words of the gods, words sung in lovely hymns to their creations. Do not think that magic is so well separated as we mere mortals would like to think.” He has been questioned many times about this statement, but refuses to elaborate with any meaningful answer.
The sheer amount of speculation made about the Bluejay is staggering. Though, in recent times he has been seen confiding in more than a few notable figures. God's Eye Odeza , Baron of Glaion Lucas Berthelot, Ilgor of the Skullbrood Clan, and The Warlord Halgier. All four of which are quite tight lipped about their conversations with the enigmatic king.
In the year of 1231, he and Halgier had made their way toward the City of Glaion to broker a deal to train their military. While this was a major political move for the Dwarven Wandering States, to teach the military of another nation, Halgier and Gjorn stumbled upon something far greater. The two had accidentally ran into the Goblin Priestess Ilgor of the Skullbrood Clan while she was alone in the ruins of the old portside of the city. While they had no ill intentions for her, they were able to calm the situation. Enjoying a night getting to know the girl at least a little.
Gjorn had noticed several things during this encounter, while Halgier had fallen head over heels for the Priestess. The first and most prominent thing was this: she was using the exact same kind of magic as him. Though she hadn't realized it, she used it in every word she spoke. Seemingly a racial ability unique to these Goblins, he was astounded. For the lessons and gifts given to him by the Queen of the Fae had told him that that this magic was used by The Great Mother and her children alone. He was made the only exception to ever exist.
When he had run into her again, his speculations were made reality. Her magic being far more potent, was suddenly obvious. Why it was more obvious that the Goblins were on the rise in the rumor mill of the city of Glaion. Gjorn's knowledge of what had attached itself to Ilgor sent his mind spinning. He would report this information back to the Queen as well as a few other allies inside The Elsewhere. He would be ordered to protect Ilgor with the full weight of his nation if needed, that the The Elsewhere would begin working behind the scenes to secure a foothold in the world.
Gjorn and Ilgor would begin their friendship from this point on, though only having met one more time before the City attacked the Goblins in retribution to her Chief's ill advised actions of attacking a Calphiti Delegation meant to forstall the coming war between the Federation of Nations and the Caliphate. He would leverage his place with Halgier to disallow the use of Dwarven troops against the Goblins despite it breaking a treaty between The Kingdom of Galus.
During the delegation sent to the Caliphate to offer the head of the Goblin Chief, provided by Ilgor, the Baron of Galus had decided the Goblins needed to emliminated for their crime of starting a new world war. To which, Gjorn reminded everyone how he received the name End Song. He declared to the Caliphate, and to the Federation that should Glaion retaliate against the Goblins at all, the Dwarves would declare war against Galus. This put the Baron in a difficult situation, Gjorn had just made an incredible vulnerability in Galus and made it known to the enemy.
Gjorn had ordered Halgier to assist in securing the Goblin Village, a task he was more than happy to accommodate as it meant he would be able to learn more of the Priestess. It took little convincing for the goblins to allow the Dwarves to help them build a proper settlement and eventually into a sprawling city. Though from this point on as Halgier's and Ilgor relationship Bloomed, Gjorn would become her teacher in the same way the he was student to the Queen.
Education
Taught by his Father before the rise of the City of Mhuzchet, he was taught the ways of the Dwarves. Their wandering way of life, their four-pronged politics, the history between the Dwarves and Gnomes. He was taught that to live under the skies, to feel the freedom in the wind, was to feel the escape into the roots of the world.
His Father, the Previous Fourth King, molded him to be a world-class politician, warlord, leader. He would follow his teachings up until he had taken that damned Gnomish Fortress. He and his then-teacher named Hjalti who was beginning to teach him the ways of Dwarven Magic, found something that would shatter his world and rebuild him a new. Into a greater King, into an emissary to usher in a truer world. Hjalti and he would discover the death site of one of The Quartet, where he would accidentally reactivate an old ward left behind by the Children.
He witnessed a truely ancient memory, though one of full lucidity by the Shadows. In this memory, he witnessed the death of the Goddess of the Faeries: Syn and was hunted by Shadow: Lust. He would develop an immense hatred for Azu the Beautiful, knowing full what she actually is. While he ran from her, he was called to a safe haven by a mysterious voice into a crack in the fortresses wall that shouldn't have been there.
When he woke, he and Hjalti found this crack in the wall and opened it. They found the Ward in a sealed off chamber, when Gjorn activated it, he was whisked away to The Elsewhere. He he was taken under the wing of the Queen of the Fae, and taught the true history of the world. Taught the true use of magic in the world, and given gifts of subtle but immense power. She would teach him the secrets of the world that elivated him and his people to a pinnicle not seen since before the Dawn of Truths. Gjorn, simply, is the reason the Dwarven Wandering States hold such a powerful position in the world. Economically, politically, socially.

Quotes & Catchphrases
"If you only knew, if you could only see the darkness inside us all. Only then would you begin to understand what was stolen." An out of context line that was widely publicized by a reporter overseeing a conversation between him and The Sage of Huron: Emily Von Eule. That comment has lead many to believe that the Sages of Huron are nowhere near as powerful as they actually are.
"I am a Dwarf. A history that was stolen from us, a homeland robbed of it's significance. I am but what the world has made of me."
