Fire and Flatbreads

Tucked into the center of Wargun's narrow laned southwestern warrens, Fire and Flatbreads occupies the first floor of the front half of a small, weather worn gray stone building. Its drapes always pulled tight, the dark and somewhat dingy common room holds a dozen small round tables, each lit with a single, well-used candle. Wooden plates and rough earthen-ware mugs make up the entirety of the place-settings. No tablecloths, napkins, nor - in the Dharjan even utensils are offered. While most nobles would turn their nose up at these accommodations - who cleanses their fingertips in a communal bowl of water - artisans, merchants, and soldiers with coin to spare know that they are part of the experience.
Food - generally lamb, goat, horse, beef, or chicken - cooked over a hot flame is served, wrappedi n warm flat bread topped with various vegetables and, of course, one of Sarya's famous sauces. Her sauces, which are one of the culinary delights of the city, come in a rainbow of colors and range from creamy with a bit of heat to citrusy with strong heat to earthy with enough heat to make a drill sergeant cry. When asked about her talents, Sarya simply shrugs, "Its common fare in the Desert. Still, despite these claims, the sultry woman has made tidy living of her talents.
From just before lunch until just after dark, her tables are always packed with patrons. After hours the candles burning even lower, see nearly as much business as she rents out the facility to private parties. While these are generally are fashionable events for the city's middle class they are just as often quiet, exclusive affairs for members of the city's more entrepreneurial - if less savory - men and women of the Northwest Syndicate.
