Church of the Clamshell
In fairness, there are more than just clamshells lining the outer walls of this church. Located in the heart of the Darin Peninsula, it is both the largest building devoted to Jendredi in a city has at least a half-dozen such temples, shrines, and churches, but also the most oddly decorated. With walls of poured mortar, hundreds if not thousands of shells from clams, oysters, scallops, and other creatures from the sea have been pressed into them, lending both support and a novel décor. The largest such shell - from a crab nearly an arm-span across, sits directly over the main door, each of its blue claws pressed into the jams and protruding ever so slightly, enough so that if one is not careful one just might catch their shirt on the still sharp edges. The church always seems full with both the usually transient sailors and fisherman making their offerings to the Queen of Sea and Storms sitting alongside artists and other visitors admiring the unusual architecture.
