Personal history
Hailing from the city of Stoneport, Wess was raised by his mother and father in the Cordice Horne. His father was a member in good standing of the Splendid Order of Armorers, Locksmiths and Finesmiths. A powerful guild that provided many tools and crafts for wealthy politicians, Shipwrights and trading companies. Oddly your mother was a full blooded elven woman, quite beautiful with long golden hair, your father a scruffy human man with a full black beard.
Both your parents were incredibly skilled craftspeople and metalsmiths. In your childhood you remember many members of the East Tellenheim Company ( A powerful Trade organization that operates all over the world) who would come to the house to ask for specialized items. As you reached the age of 10 you were allowed to accompany your father to see several of the huge powerful sailing ships that would be at the docks, ready to sail thousands of leagues. Often your father would board a ship to help fine tune a powerful telescope or help calibrate a gyroscope for navigation.
On one of these occasions the captain of the ship "The Griffmark" set sail with you and your father aboard. When your father vehemently protested the Captain, A Human man named Aramark Carven, punched him hard in the face and placed him in the brig. A week went by sailing on the Wyvern Sea, the cold winter winds and crashing of waves are all you remember. You scrambled for food and fresh water, trying to avoid the sailors and officers of the ETC who would rather strike you than offer any of their rations. You often visited your father who was looking more gaunt by the day. He said they were forcing him to craft supplies for them en route.
The next week the ship was hit by the Ebon Fin Corsairs, a dangerous fleet of violent pirates. The Griffmark was hit hard and began to take on water. The ship was boarded and a deadly melee ensued. The Pirates won, the ship began to sink. You rushed below deck to try to free your father but the iron Brig was jammed and your ten year old limbs couldn't bend iron. You watched as the saltwater overtook him. You almost died too if the muscular arm of the half orc man hadn't dragged you back topside. A Corsair took pity on you and brought you aboard their ship, he hid you and fed you to keep you safe. Finally at the Points you both abandoned the ship and walked away from the sea. He told you of the actions he had committed as a pirate and the shame he felt when he looked back upon it. He told you of his plan to make his way up the mainland and find life as an artisan.
In the Points he said you were free to pursue your own destiny. His name was Jaron Dartmoor a tall half orc man with big tusks. As he boarded a carriage headed north into the Eigerlands you begged him to let you tag along. You both traveled for two weeks before settling in the village of Ashe. A trading and hunting town on the River of Daggers just north of Westinox. Now you study to be one of the great archers of the age...
