Nomad Character in Tales of Justice | World Anvil

Nomad

The original character of Jack Monroe and "Nomad" were created by Steve Englehart and Sal Buscema for Marvel Comics, who ( as well as the Walt Disney Company ) own the rights to the character. This "Nomad" is an adaptation of that character that borrows from the original but has been modified as a fan fiction adaptation.

Jack Monroe (a.k.a. Nomad)

Physical Description

Special abilities

Jack Monroe was administered one of the many attempts to recreate the same serum used on Steve Rogers during the project that created Captain America. This process was part of the project called Project UniSol. In this project, Monroe was given the serum and several of the enhancements ( both biological and some cybernetic ). These enhancements resulted in superhuman strength, speed, and agility. These enhancements are well beyond human limits but not quite approaching the level of Captain America.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Nomad, real name Jack Monroe, was a fan of Captain America who got to actually be his idol's sidekick for a time in his teenage years. The variation on the Super Soldier Serum that was used on Jack didn't work quite as anticipated; nevertheless, years later he helped Captain America again in dealing with several supervillains, and was given the gear and identity to adventure as "Nomad".   Nomad eventually retired from hero life, only occasionally getting involved as an urban vigilante in local troubles. He has an adopted seven-year-old daughter, actual name Gypsum but nicknamed "Bucky", almost certainly a mutant. He took a job as campus security in order to provide Bucky with a stable education.

Employment

Jack currently works as chief of security for the Gironde Institute and other Metropolis properties belonging to Phoenix Industries.
