Session 75 - (7th July 2020) - Fucking About
Vorontir is ready to return home and the group accompany her to Frea. She will attempt to get in with mercenary groups and contact the group when it's time to set up a dig operation. The grop have some downtime in which Mas and Syl enter a prank war and start a bar game with some locals, winding up losing.   The group send a message to Ashari who assures them they will get back to them when there is time, detecting undertones of stress or worry in his voice. They travel to Odek to drop off Melvin and then teleport to the northern border of the Shadow Pines, noticing the ring of lights still surrounding it. They head in, discovering, or being discovered by some large shadow wolves which spring into attack. Fire Syl emerges and they die.
Session 74 - (30th June 2020) - Ogre Food
Satisfying Vorontir's hunger for battle, they head into the mountains running alongside the Yama Valley in search of something to fight. Eventually, the group comes across a cave opening and follow it inside, noting hooved drag marks and blood, scouting it out further they learn this is an ogre lair with four of them inside alongside some goats (one alive). The ogres are killed, the goat 'rescued' and a teleportation to Fooks where they await Syl and Melvin.   Mas gets some adjustments made to his magical weapons, having a new set of enchanted chain daggers fashioned. Later that evening they also trick a bumbling adventurer (Alf) into buying the very-much-not-real dragon's blood acquired from a trinket shop.
Session 73 - (23rd June 2020) - Flogging an Egg
The team go to Reggie who mentions he will find a buyer for the egg. They head to the council after to have a meeting with Kass who agrees to look into things although her time is limited before she is off on assignment again, she points them in the direction of Cal but nobody knows where he is. Later, the team run into a strange hooded figure in the inn who turns out to be Savannah the goliath, a middle person for the buyer of the egg. That night they head out into the streets to try and lure anyone watching for Vorontir out but they have no such luck doing so.
Session 72 - (18th June 2020) - A Roc and a Hard Place
Vorontir is bestowed greater power after a dream involving the light figure she made a pact with. Eager to test them out she wants to travel the long way to whatever destination the group has next which after a chat turns out to be Raux to try and use their connections to the council to dig into the events relating to the ruins. They choose to travel on the border of the Rook Woods and the Yama Valley sending Melvin the long way round.   They come across a clearing at the base of a mountain that is littered with troll tracks and after a very brief hunt, discover a cave likely to be housing them. Using the owl and a newly acquired raven to scout out and provide a tactical advantage as Syl'ver blasts a ring of fire in the cave to draw them out. Mas uses his new chains to trip a troll and smash it's head open, Vorontir gets to eldritch blast a lot of things and dabble in new radiant abilities, Syl reconnects with his scorpion alter ego and Nelia slices a troll in half - all in all making short work of them.   Trying to take the quiet route from here on out they end up being dive-bombed by a Roc nesting on a ledge above them, towering in size as it swoops in to try and take Nelia. Some well-placed hits by the rogues open some gouges in its underbelly with the others helping to focus fire. The roc tried to make an escape but did not make it off the ground as a flurry of attacks end the beast. They find an egg in it's nest and secure it, teleporting to Raux to speak to Reggie and the Council Of Raux
Session 71 - (9th June 2020) - Gnoll Bashing
Heading deeper into the woods they come across a pack of Gnolls hunting and take an opportunity to surprise them, springing into combat. The gnolls summon a Flind to assist them but they are still no match for the group, Vorontir gets some kills in. After a quick lotting they return to sell what they have harvested, taking back some strange mushrooms to the alchemist who gives them an update on the tokreon situation. Some friends are working on other uses for it and he continues to try a more powerful elemental explosion. Eraz returns and spends some gold to get some items resized before dishing them out to the group.
The group meet with Vorontir and lets them know how they might be able to help her, they go to Fooks giving her some training along the way and when they arrive they get her some better equipment. Syl shows her the info they found on the ruins and she adds it to her notebook painting an even clearer pattern of disruption and corruption. The group rest before taking a quick expedition in the woods to try and hunt some elk.   Eraz goes on a solo mission to seek out a storm giant, almost being led directly to one above the Hosk Mountains in a storm. Using Zaros to reach a demiplane in sky with an enormous castle inside. He comes across a dying giant trapped in a rusted and abandoned castle and in exchange for freeing him he is rewarded with a trove of magical artifacts. |Session 70 - (4th June 2020) - Tool Up
Nelia writes Vorontir a letter offering assistance and she sends a reply scheduling a meet at midnight the next evening at The Black Fiddler on the southern edge of town. Melvin does a spot of gambling while the others use illusion magic to fuck with him. Mas takes an opportunity to steal a glass duck from the glassworks. The group spot a shadow on the roof watching from a distance but by the time they get close it has vanished with a faint trace of magic left behind. Another letter is sent to Vorontir warning her of that, the meeting goes ahead as planned and Nelia heads off to the location (invisible and tailing Vorontir ) and after it seems she is listening out for footsteps approaching Nelia uses her owl to signal her appearance. They have a distanced chat and after a while she begins to warm to Nelia and trust she has her best interests at heart. They both head back to the glassworks making a small detour to the alley from before where a message has been left, telling her to move to the backup location. The others go to Fooks for a spot of research on the council, the ruins, mountains and some magical items. Everyone regroups for a meeting at The Hanging Man. |Session 69 - (28th May 2020) - New Friends & New Foes
Choosing The Hanging Man as thier meeting place across from the glassworks they regroup. Mas takes a stroll to visit the music shop Strumentos he had passed earlier to ask about Padfoot instruments, finding and purchasing a flute. Eraz manages to successfully beef up Zaros almost tripling him in size. After hours a meeting takes place in the glassworks between the owners and several party members, where Syl poses as an alias looking to make a deal. Vorontir Strel is formally introduced and the meeting concluded, she leaves after the meeting heading into town and Nelia follows her. She goes to an alleyway near the center of town and removes a brick in a wall, checks behind it, then puts it back, heading back home for the night. Everyone meets back at The Hanging Man and familars/party members take turns watching the alley. The group rests the night and the following day they sneak into the upper levels of the glassworks and locate Vorontir's room, decorated in glass trinkets and discover a diary in a language they don't know, deciding to take it and meet the others. Eraz Incek manages to translate the text shortly after they discover it is celestial and they learn a little about what she has been up to, including a pact with a light figure, digging operations around Al'Tea and conspiracies related to Raux and the Council. |Session 68 - (21st May 2020) - Conspiracies
They teleport to the guild to meet Melvin and puit the chests in the cart and head to Fooks via Raux to see the alchemist. They bring him the Ore to sort through and Mas manages to swip a few potions of the shelf without being spotted. The Tokreon is refined and put into vials and split between the group and the alchemist who is eager to experiment some more, they also get some more binding agent. They learn of a use for Tokreon paste where by an elemental effect can be triggered upon command word 150ft away.   The group leave for Frea to find out more information about Vorontir Strel as requested by Reggie. Nelia checks out the layout of the glassworks and surrounding area at night before returning in the day with the others in various positions. While distractions and information gathering are in full swing in the shop, Nelia discovers what could be the target, blowing glass in a building out back. |Session 67 - (12th May 2020) - All the Tokreon
Making their way around to the front of the building while Mas and Syl keep watch from above, they make small talk in the garden (Nelia being invisible) with the other guests before being invited inside. Eraz sits at the table and Caliban patrols the room, the illusion is started and Nelia begins to swap the paintings out with everyone far too focused on the food and the roaming dwarf in the room. They all get out of there and head back to The Broken Arrow.   While the others relax, Nelia heads to Reggie and exchanges the painting for a hefty sack of platinum coins. Mas Shief steals an ornate pipe off of a group in the inn, Caliban departs the party and Brian comes back into the fold. They find Melvin outside in the middle of a card game they don't know, the game ends in a draw and Melvin doesn't look pleased. He sets the cart up and they make the journey through the night to The Adventurers Guild where Brian takes over and Melvin rests, continuing on to Chu where they stay the night at The Crooked Cane.   Yet another heist is planned for the precious Tokreon inside the grotto. After checking out the grotto at night, they discover the mines are sealed with large wooden gates, several war machines and guards fill the space, even more prevalent than before. Some small talk with some workers reveals the good stuff is kept in the mines overnight as they are well protected since the robbery the other day They devise a plan to get in, combining invisibility with teleportation to get Brian and Syl inside the mines. They explore the many crates inside, finding many filled with various ores. They see a few smaller chests across the room and try to pry them open with some success, finding some black powder and a blue like material of which they grab two chests and get out of there, meeting the others back at the inn. |Session 66 - (5th May 2020) - The Cheddar Switcheroo
The group attempt to send Jael Teinithrah a message, they get no reply. Nelia goes to see Reginald 'Reggie' Grindcobbe about the previously mentioned job. He wants Nelia to swap out a painting for a fake at a swanky estate in the city, she heads back to others to fill them in.   Mas had been swindling people in the meantime, Nelia shares the job with the others. They head to estate to scout it out in the daytime and get a good look at the surroundings. They sneak in, get a layout of the place, get hold of a guest list as well as their information and begin to plan the heist. Eraz bluffs his way into an invitation by pretending to be an old acquaintance of Steven Cheddar, one of the guests. They arrive at the estate in the evening and prepare to head in. |Session 65 - (28th April 2020) - The Party
Inspecting the thing they had slain, it appears to be a thick, heavy mass of an unfamiliar metal that once had some kind of life force, now laying as a dead weight in the forest. They are unsuccessful in breaking it apart or cutting it up effectively but manage to get a few small chunks and scrapings. While they ponder what to do next, Syl hears a rustling in the tree they are all gathered under and together with Caliban, fire moonbeams into the branches, sending a figure flying out to land gracefully at their feet.   A tabaxi stands before the party, introducing himself as Mas, thief for hire. After a brief conversation and some eye rolls at more tag alongs to the group Mas travels with the group. They wait around for a few hours to get as much sap as possible from the trees before teleporting back to Fooks.   They give some to the alchemist, Eraz uses some to make more paste for his dragon and they hang on to the other two jars. Nelia and Mas head into the inn with a plan to sell the location of the 'fey treasure' laying in the woods, scanning the room and noticing two rather new looking groups. They manage to sell maps to the treasure and steal a few items from the groups including gold, maps and jewelry.   They rest for the night before regrouping and heading to Raux via Melvin and the cart, with Nelia planning to visit Reggie and the party look at all their possessions and suggest it could be time for a clear out... | Session 64 - (23rd April 2020) - Portal Surprise
Deciding to venture into the Pomm Woodland to find these trees with the excellent sap quality, they travel south and make camp. The next day they head into the trees, looking out for the tall, thin, dark trees with purple leaves, the carus tree. Encountering nothing but vibrant plantlife and the usual wildlife they press on for several hours before discovering two of these trees close together. Hammering in these metal tap devices and boring them deep into the trees, a slow trickle of sap pours out and they position their glass jars to catch the drips.   Meanwhile some of the others get to exploring the immediate vicinity, Nelia discovers an odd ring formation of dark red mushrooms and Syl investigates, thinking back to his druid upbringings and realising this is a portal to the Feywild. Syl steps into the portal and begins trying to activate it, muttering all kinds of elven words and performing elaborate hand gestures. After a few minutes Syl vanishes from view, the others go back to exploring while Caliban kicks over some of the mushrooms.   Syl blinks and opens his eyes to standing alone in a more heavily overgrown forest, surrounded by a very different ring of mushrooms this time a bright bloody red. He explores around the portal for what feels like a good 15-20 minutes, seeing shadow shapes far in the treelines and hearing the snapping of twigs. The sounds of a deep gutteral barking sound in the distance seems to be getting closer, and soon enought he forms of two dog like creatures are dashing towards him followed by a large humanoid form looming in the shadows also rushing through the treeline. Syl heads back to the portal trying to activate it again and almost instantly this time, finds himself back in the Pomm Woodland.   Alerting his friends that he is back they come to see what the fuss is about, a mere few minutes having passed for them, as these two dogs appear in a flash behind Syl, they begin the fight. The large humanoid figure appears, covered head to toe in a thick armor and brandishing a shimmering blue sword and whip. The dogs are slain by a pair of moonbeams which move onto the main target although it seems to withstand an incredible amount of damage before showing any signs of weakening. It's eyes glow a bright blue through it's helmet sometimes causing immense pain for its target, a few choice sword strikes through tiny gaps in it's armor prove to do some lasting damage, although there is no blood to be seen. pulling out the big guns, some powerful spells are used in conjunction with the more traditional weapons to extinguish the blue energy running through this creature as it's metallic shell falls to the ground. | Session 63 - (14th April 2020) - Sap Hunters
The group head back to Chu to plan how to get their hands on more Tokreon. A plan is put into motion, they go into the grotto and scout it out, an air elemental version of Syl makes some chaos and the others either help to distract or try to steal. Nelia and Eraz find some of the material they are after as well as a large sack of gold, all coming together again they teleport out of there and go to the Adventurers Guild.   They travel to Fooks via Raux, where Nelia visits Reggie who may have a job for her coming up in a weeks time. When they do arrive in Fooks, they give the alchemist a lot more product to work with and he begins to test the material for them. One issue is the low stocks of binding agents in the town due to a surge in adventurers sucking up all the supplies. With nothing spare to go round, they must get their own... |Session 62 - (9th April 2020) - Causing a Scene
The party travel to Chu to get an update for Rhia on the state of the inventions. They come across the material the gnomes have been experimenting with which they call Karas but is known to the drow as Tokreon. Managing to get a sample they take it back to Raux and show Rhia before deciding to head to Fooks to find somebody more qualified to look at it.   Finding a 'specialist' who examines it, they request more of the substance to do proper tests but that it shows promise. They sneak into the castle and through the kitchens/storage areas before gaining access to the upper floors, meeting Sariel and announcing their arrival to the queen. |Session 59 - (10th March 2020) - Storm The Castle
Jael returns to the group as they await the patrol to show off their kills and almost to the minute, they arrive at the Teraz. They scoff at the two heads of the deep crow and get on with their patrols. They head to the outskirts of Yannetar where Jael instructed Sariel to leave a reply to her letter and after a little digging around in the cave walls and alcoves, they discover a letter instructing them to meet at a bakery owned by Borrel in the city center.   Deciding to head there early, the discover the bakery and head in to see some drow leaving with baskets, Borrel behind the counter. He turns and seems to notice the new faces and the tielfing, offering them a selection of breads. They mention the reason they are there and are led into a secret back room even the most perceptive could miss and they await Sariel. The room is covered in drawings and scribblings and the party take some downtime with the long wait ahead, eventually they hear the sounds of the shop closing up and figures approaching. The door opens and they can see Borell and a hooded figure who reveals themselves as Sariel.   Jael and Sariel catch up with Jael's intentions of challengining the queen made clear. Sariel is happy to help in any way she can and vows to try to keep the guards away from the back of the castle for the next few days. She mentions that Xanaphia is just like their mother and unlikely to take their side. They exchange musical mementos and sisterly affection before parting ways.   Deciding to go ahead with the plan to go through the waste pits, they head towards the mines and farms one more time, stopping short where the land dips down into rocky ravines. Heading down into the paths below, they encounter some rather steep and difficult drops which Jael expertly scales with web skin, carring the others as she descends. After several hours of scaling their way down into the depths, they reach a small plateau positioned under the city center, littered with rubbish, discarded waste and food and some bodies in various states of decay. The smell begins to become increasingly unpleasant, and peering over the ledge they find themselves on, another ledge sits slighly lower down and across a large chasm several hundred feet wide. A pack of quaggoths on the ledge over the way seem to ripping the waste piles apart looking for food but don't seem to notice the players being so far away. They begin to scale down towards the bottom of the waste pits that are now in view, the climb is difficult, with some scetions more speedily sliding down sloping rocky gorges trying to hold on to each other. The stench now becoming almost unbearable as these areas of the pits are covered in objects and a kind of black sludge binds everything together. Syl retches a little while the others hold it together as they wade through the sludge and the slush of the waste pits heading towards the castle. They come across a possible shortcut and Nelia send her owl to scout it out and after it goes out of range it does not come back. They decide to follow this path regardless and head up a long incline, through a tunnel that does indeed seem to cut down the journey time. They enjoy a short break in the cave which seems to offer a breif relief from the toxic air.   Standing before the group is an incredible mountain of waste as they emerge from the cave and head towards it. Glancing up, the very faint lights of the surface can be seen, indicating the castles position as they make their way through the pit towards it. Several much larger pools of the boiling, black susbstance seem to be eating through this pile and as the group go through it it begins to slowly eat away at their clothing and skin. Some of it bands together forming tentacles and they try to grapple the party who manage to cut it into small chunks and stop it's advance. Syl manages to be sick yet again as the stench really sets in as they go around waste mountain and head towards the castle.   Syl becomes an earth elemental and uses it's ability to scale the rock upward, carrying the others several miles upwards. The faint purple lights of Yannetar come closer into view as they stick to the back rocky walls, encountering a wall that Syl can not pass through. It radiates with a protective magical energy and deciding to come back to it, they seek out an alcove in the rock a few hundred feet down to rest before planning what to do next. |Session 58 - (25th February 2020) - The Pits
Jael heads off to tend to some personal business while awaiting a reply from her sister. The group head to the Teraz, a sort of tavern like structure although the atmosphere is more like that of a library than any tavern. Still disguised as a drow, Syl does most of the talking, what little there is, and gets some drinks while the group plan what to do waiting for Jael to return. Eraz disguises himself as a buff drow and gets some stares from the other patrons. After a very brief chat with a drow serving at the time, they learn that the guards are the ones to speak to about any possibility of being of service.   Having a look around the part of town they find themselves in, they do notice patrols of drow going past every fifteen or so minutes and decide to approach the next group passing through. They introduce themselves , the patrol informs them that for the past month they have been plauged with creatures infesting the underdark due to planar barriers weakening, a problem the group have experienced on the surface. They are pointed in the direction of current infestations, told to meet them in 24 hours with proof of kills and then the patrol moves on, remarking that they'll be dead in an hour.   Heading through Yannetar to the far eastern side of the city, they encounter a large tunnel that leads to farming areas, livestock pens and mines. Following their instrutions they go past these well traveled locations and enter a more winding network of tunnels with larger caverns dotted throughout. Evidence of past usage as mining areas, as well as livestock storage litters the floors as well as many patches and trails of dried blood. The sounds of airborne creatures become apparent along with high pitched hissing noises, Syl makes some noises to get their attention and sure enough a winged monstoristy (a strange griffin/crow cross) approaches and dives to attack the group.   The party engage the beast as another much larger one swoops in on them just as they manage to slay the smaller one. After a few well timed combinations of spells and strikes, this creature is also no more. Deciding that now would be a good time to rest, harvest and return the group do just that. There are certainly more beasts down there should they wish to return later. Making their way back to the Teraz in Yannetar they await Jael and the patrol to show off their kills. | Session 57 - (20th February 2020) - A little distraction
(Syl becomes all fiery and weird during the combat but no big deal?)   Defeating the death knight and the giant skeleton, the group go into the caves further where Jael sees some drow markings and directions to Yannetar the city she was born, and their current destination. They take a rest in a raised alcove, and during the watch the sounds of numerous creatures roaming the cave network and tunnels but nothing finds them where they camp.   Following the marked passageway down a rather steep incline, it comes out into a series of chambers. The group listen out and can hear the sounds of something coming towards them from a distance, the sounds of claws on stone edging closer. They cast darkness and wait around a corner ready to pounce as a large beastly creature emerges to attack.   Jael recalls that the beast is a form of vampire and it soon becomes apparent the beast is strong and can regenerate. It carves some deep wounds into some of them and eventually they slay the beast. During the fight it was apparent a small group of drow were watching the fight as they emerge to harvest beast parts from the slain monster. Syl disguises himself as a drow and they are chatty with Jael and Syl but ignore the others. After a little chat they folow the patrol back to the city and after a couple of hours arrive in Yannetar.   Heading to the market area in the outskirts they do some trading, Jael buys maps of the area and surrounding tunnels. They decide to cross the bridge into the main city center and the party thinks they'll be alright with two of them either being drow or disguised as such. Finding a place to rest, Jael writes a letter to her sister Sariel in the castle and sends it via owl into the grounds. The group discuss possible means of entry, learning there's one winding passage into the castle that is well defended although there are vast toxic waste pits beneath the city where they could try to gain access. Jael also knows there was a secret passage in/out that her mother used to get her out in secret but can not remember where. |Session 56 - (11th February 2020) - Entering Yannetar
Our group travel again to Odek where they leave Melvin and instruct him to stay there, they pay another 2 weeks wages and prepare for their journey to Tempest Hollow.   Jael navigates the badlands like a pro, avoiding any dangers along the way, and the group reach the craks in the land where the entrance to Tempest Hollow lies. Spotting and killing some animated body parts that try to attack them, they make their way into the ruins of an old fort and the tunnels below. A series of tunnels, caverns and mines all going deeper and deeper underground are what the group make their way through before they eventually reach some rough terrain to climb down.   They reach the ruins of a vast underground city that looks like it's been abandoned for centuries, made from a strange stone that crumbles to the touch. Deciding to leave it alone and maybe investigate another time they press on, finding several passages to take them deeper underground, parts of the journey flash in Jael's mind as she remembers when she was exiled and the path she took back then.   Upon getting much closer to the underdark, a shadow follows the group and tries to pin them down as a death knight emerges to attack the group. It summons a giant skeleton and a battle ensues.... |Session 55 - (21st January 2020) - Descent into the Hollow
The group go back to the treasure hoard and begin to sort through the items deciding what to take and what to leave behind. Once they are satisfied they make their way back to O'Pax, they take care of some personal errands and then decide Raux is the best bet for the next stop.   Upon arrival they decide the best places to try and sell various items and Nelia pays a visit to Reggie. They stay the night in the city then make their way to Fooks, the following day to sell the items they couldn't sell in Raux.   Eraz gets an enchanted cloak made up, and they take a damaged crystal ball to the magic school in hopes they can fix it and end up leaving it with them.   Jael speaks about her past and how the desire to go back has been growing stronger, the more she experiences the overworld and how different it could be down below. They decide to make a plan to visit the underdark... |Session 54 - (16th January 2020) - Planning a trip
The group have a quick loot about the stone chambers before preparing to set off. The others drag Terry away into the distance, as the familiar sweeping sensation teleports them to Turner's office. It's pitch black and incredibly quiet, being the middle of the night, they decide to make a bit of a ruckus and get the attention of some of the guards.   Jael flings some magical light in the air and some of the guards recognisde them and get Turner out of bed, somewhat unhappily. This changes dramatically when they inform him of the nights events and he sets several plans into motion. He agrees with the party to split his land, estate and business between the remaining leaders and to uphold the truce.   The party meet Melvin at the Happy Tarrasque, learning he has gambled his way to what he sees as a small fortune but is happy to continue working with the group. Melvin is paid up for another few weeks of service, and they rest the night at the tavern.   Tying up some more loose ends, they message the boat crew at Venk and tell them to return. They take a slow ride to Raux to get in some much needed downtime, and head to meet Rhia. Reporting what they have learned from Venk, the samples and the maps seem to be of great interest and she gives the group some gold for their efforts but makes it clear there is still much desire for additional study and specimens. Reggie is paid a visit and many items sold to him, topping up their funds again.   A thought sudden;y jolts the group, that the dragon they defeated still has treasure yet to be found and is surely worth checking out. Syl teleports everyone to the volcano and decides to jump in as a fire elemental to look around. Following the natural flow of the lava, he manages to find several caves, some of which lead nowhere but after an hour or so finds one with a promising amount of space inside. Following this passage around several miles, evidence of claw marks and dried blood/scales can be seen, over a short ridge, the evidence of a dragons lair appears infront of Syl. An orange glow basks the cavern as lava falls down the rocks at the back of the chamber, pushing through this reveals the treasure in all it's glory with several shimmering metallic items, some rather large, in a messy pile. Syl needs more hands to sort and carry all this, teleports back to the group and them back to O'Pax for a rest and recharge before planning to return the next morning. |Session 53 - (7th January 2020) - Forgotten Treasure
The Dragon Slayers spent some time at the guild, examining their samples and creating new weapons and items before teleporting to Torrow to meet the Savage Gardeners at the Happy Tarrasque.   After a brief catch up they go to see Sam Cormant and the developments to their base of operations. They are informed of the apparent locations, defences and forces of the remaining pirate leaders and many tunnels have been secured under ground.   It is apparent that Terry Cooke is the big bad compared to the others, with Turner appearing easiest and the others in the middle. A plan is hatched to convince him that they want to help get rid of the other pirate leaders when really they are after Terry himself. They set out to the northern parts of town to do some recon and get more intel.   They discover a back alley square filled with gardens, passageways and walkthroughs in the rough location Terry’s underground base is suspected to be. After staking it out for a while, they notice patterns in ‘guard’ movements, every ten minutes, two people walk through looking around and disappearing.   After a little while, they approach one group, a man and woman who appear surprised at being accosted. The woman lets the man deal with it as she patrols some more on her own, not wanting to get in trouble. and they convince the man they have a business deal to present to Terry.   He goes off and comes back with bruised face, apparently from a frustrated Cooke. The boss wants them in to explain the deal and off they go through some back doors and hidden passageways, leading to a staircase going underground. They are lead into a large stone chamber with guards at the entrance and doorways inside and then into a much nicer room with luscious carpets, fine artwork and ornate décor, a roaring fire at one end of the room and a larger than life silver throne, Terry currently perched on top.   The group chat with Terry and explain their plans to him, he seems interested and asks them to return with a final plan and if they need any resources to get it done they can sort the terms out then. While he is distracted, Jael attempts to strike Terry but the weapon passes through and by the time he has looked around again Jael has stowed it away. The group are sent away, researching the magic and learning he must have been close by casting the spell, they regroup with the others and plan.   In the dead of night they send the black guard reinforcements down and teleport in, telling the guards they have their plan and reinforcements and to get Terry, a guard heads off to wake him and Nelia follows invisible. The guard goes down a back corridor to a room and wakes Terry, after informing the black guard she sneaks into the room with Terry.   The party go into throne room and speak with the projection of Terry telling him they are ready to strike, at this time Nelia attacks from the shadows catching him unawares and unequipped, striking several blows before being joined by the rest of the group, the black guard fighting Terry’s guys.   Terry is knocked down but stabalized and unconscious…. | Session 52 - (2nd January 2020) - A Group Effort
Deciding they might have better luck at the other end of this river they sacle back down the landscape, sticking to the water as the hostile creatures seem to avoid the large herds of dinos that gather there, they travel safely to the sprawling wetlands on the other side of the crater.   With the power of magic, water breathing capabilities are extended to the full group and they begin to explore beneath the surface of the water. Much like before the sheer number of creatures exceed their expectations although most of the dinosaurs seem docile toward the group. Getting a bit deeper and further in some much larger shapes can be seen in the distance but they are much too quick and too far away to catch up to.   Reaching the furtherest and deepest point, it is clear seveal large underwater caverns and tunnels sprawl in all directions down there. Following one of the closest and largest ones the descend even further down to explore. Several large chunks of rocks appear to have been crashed into and sent to the lake bed, possibly due to some of these large creatures they have seen.   They head into a side tunnel and see what looks to be an oversized tentacle sticking out, upon getting closer they find the form of what looks to be a large sleeping octopus. Now feet from the beast it is clear it is something else, all have heard of tails of the kraken but this is nowhere near as large, possibly a youngling. Deciding to sample the beast a fight occurs, some members of the group noticing the reduced effectiveness of ranged combat beneath the water. Many grapples later and tentacle slices, the beast is slain and parts harvested. They make their way back to land and decide the next move.   Syl teleports the group to the Shadow Pines and they send a message to Rhia updating them on their situation. They make their way out of the woods and encounter a strange ring of lights, after a little experimentation it seems to obscure sound and vision from each side of the barrier and not let items with necrotic energy pass through.
